To want Georgia to upset LSU now? Does the Houston loss put Michigan into the 14th sport or higher, and into a BCS Bowl game, regardless of what happens in the SEC Championship Game?

No. We need to root for every possible thing that will help Michigan. Texas over Baylor, Iowa State over K-State (couldn't hurt), LSU over Georgia, Va Tech over Clemson.

I was thinking the same thing.

Part of me wants to root for Georgia just because it will fuck up the BCS even more.

But If we want Michigan in the BCS than gotta root for LSU

Basically, we don't need surprises. A team like Clemson can steal a bid, Georgia can steal a bid. K-State losing would be amazing. Baylor actually can pass Michigan per some of the BCS gurus with a convincing win over Texas. Houston losing was a huge boon, but there's a ways to go yet.

No one is going to steal a bid from Michigan as long Michigan qualifies for an at large invitation - Michigan is money. Clemson? Baylor? Who gives a fuck about them?

If Iowa State beats Kansas State, I could be tempted - not saying I'm going to do it; not saying that - but I could be tempted...

To root for Georgia.

You do realize that if Clemson beats Virginia Tech, they will get the automatic ACC bid, and Va Tech will still likely claim an at-large, right? That's why we need to care about them. ESPN also said that if Baylor routs Texas, there is a shot the voters may move them past Michigan because of the Griffin factor.

Plus, from what I understand you can't have 3 bcs teams from the same conference unless one is in the title game. So Oklahoma St, Oklahoma and Baylor -- not all 3 can get in.
