Is Jim Harbaugh trying to get back to the NFL?

From everything I?ve heard or read, the life of an NFL head coach is also grueling.

Here is something I found on the Internet about Brother John.

I would imagine NFL head coaches put in a lot of hours in the off-season too, even if they?re doing other things than recruiting. Do they work as hard as a college coach? I don?t know.

We all know assistant coaches and scouts aid in recruiting, and there are probably additional networks also.

For example in a different sport, softball, Hutch has built a powerful recruiting network here in talent rich Southern California of former players and their parents. I would imagine it?s the same with the more marquee sports as well.

Yes, I have heard it is. This is one of the other reasons that it can take a bit longer for a coach to make recruiting ties than 1 year or even 3 years. Can a coach win in 1 year? Yes. Can a coach win in year 3? Yes. They can do it, but it takes longer to BUILD a program than 3 seasons, especially when a coach is only put in place in January and signing day is February that 1st year.

There is no way in hell anyone would move from Ann Arbor to the frozen tundra, let alone the mistake by the lake. No way! GTFOH with that crap.

Not everyone thinks AA is the greatest city on earth.

Beats the hell out of Cleveland.

Was going to say the same thing!! Beats the hell out of Cleveland and Green Bay

Now if it was LA, Miami, Jacksonville...maybe, but those 2 cities suck!!

Which brings me to talk about Dabo Swinney. Swinney was with Clemson for 5 years prior to taking over as head coach near the end of the 2008 season. He was Clemson's top recruiter and built a lot of relationships over that time. His first 4 full seasons were 9-5, 6-6, 10-3, and 11-2. He won the National Championship in his 7th full season in 2016. This keeps me hopeful of better things yet to come. If Harbaugh can allow his ego adjustments on offense and exploit defenses, instead of trying to overpower them with the same gameplan(this is who we are, whatchya gonna do), we can have some really great years.

Yup I knew Carter was just blowing Smoke like he always does on his show.

I really don't know what Carter has ever done to allow himself to even have a show at this point. He was a disgrace as a player/person.

I guess they feel sorry for him.

so much for that:

Jim H. isn't going anywhere. He comes right out and says this stuff was put out there as negative recruiting.

Harbaugh quotes

?No, only interested in the one I have,? Harbaugh said. ?And not going to talk about any other job but my own.?

?I love Stanford, I?m only talking Stanford, and I will be at Stanford. God willing.?

A year later he was the coach of the 49ers.

You don't think Michigan holds a higher degree in his heart then Stanford ?

probably. My only point was that don't always believe what you hear/read when it comes to coaches or players. They might say one thing and do another. I don't blame them...it's just the way it is in the sports industry.

Can’t the same be said about tv and radio shows that say he is leaving for the NFL ?
They are not always right.

If a coach (Mike Shanahan, ahem) wants to get one more stab at a Head Coaching job, his agent floats the rumor to the media ..."hey, Shanahan is interested in the Michigan job." People start tweeting/chatting/discussing the rumor and suddenly the idea has legs....

Coach wants a renegotiated deal ...agent floats to the media that HC is considering the opening at _________________ and the rumor gets legitimacy and renegotiation takes place.

NFL wants to create impression that the worst franchise in the league is somehow better than Alabama, MICHIGAN, Clemson, USC or Washington ...HC at said schools always used to generate BS buzz.

It's all a game. I heard Urbz swear he'd stay at Utah and for all the reasons his family loved it there while he was at work leveraging the ND job eventually given canckles to land at Florida.

I don't see another "Niner" dream job for Harbaugh outside of possibly the Chicago Bears at some point.

maybe

of course. Those guys are just perpetuating rumors...which is fine. They have to talk about something and it seems like people are interested.

Well like I said . If he can’t beat osu next season we should move on from Jim and start over again until we find the coach that can get it done.

be careful what you wish for. JH may be bat shit crazy, but he is still a top coach. Getting rid of him just because he hasn't beat OSU might be a dumb move. How do you know that the next guy won't be worse than JH?

Don't always believe Chris Carter

I didn't think Jim was leaving. He is just confirming my feelings on the situation.

I think Coach Harbaugh will be the coach at Michigan for a long time.
