I like the idea that we've got a small thread for most of the major guys we'll likely look at/want, and with the latest news about Carroll i figured it was time to start a thread about him as well.
Apparently, if we enquired about Carroll he would be very enthusiastic:
"Jonathan Maurer, the agent for free agent second baseman Jamey Carroll, told Lynn Henning of the Detroit News that the Tigers would be viewed "enthusiastically" should they approach Carroll about a deal."

I would be very in favor of getting Carroll for a year or two, he represents basically everything we need from a second baseman right now: good OPB, good skill on the basepaths, healthy, and good defense for cheap. because of his skillset and style of play, im not too worried about his age (38 by the time the season starts).
