Jan 1 Bowl Games

Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend UM. However, I have been a fan for 30 years now and I can guarantee I am not in this "new breed" you've been experiencing.

Don't pay attention to whatever ass said that you seemed like a "Walmart Wolverine."

Every college fanbase has people who didn't graduate from that college, be it Michigan, Michigan State, USC, Oklahoma, LSU...whatever.

And don't stop shopping at Walmart, if you already do...they have some pretty good values.

I guess some Michigan hater came up with the term "Walmart Wolverine" because it has a certain amount of alliteration (whoever came up with it probably doesn't know what "alliteration" means definitively but likely has just barely enough gray matter to recognize it phonetically).

What would be a good term for Spartan fans who didn't attend MSU?

"Soup Kitchen Spartans...?"

"Soup Line Spartans...?"

Those are two that immediately come to mind.

For the Buckeyes?

"Bargain Basement Buckeyes?"

"Brood of Born Sibling Buckeyes?"

There's a couple right there...

...that said...the Buckeyes are currently representing the B1G quite well...

How do you leave Cooper open? That's the guy you should be looking for at all times

Have to think Ohio State might be a little more complete of a team than Oregon. Oregon will still probably be a favorite, but only by a couple.

I see no correlation between O$U winning benefiting any other big ten school..
I disagree... Unless your just talking more money...

This is all about the head to head relationship. When it used to be, you either play for Michigan or you play for Ohio St. Jim Harbaugh and his staff are going to get some players and kids that hate Ohio St. You can bank on it. This is going to be some fun years.

LMFAO. Thanks :)

I've never understood the Walmart thing either, except the alliteration part. Otherwise I'm just shrugging my shoulders and going "okay....?".

Oh geez it's already starting with OSU fans and I quote "Bama just doesn't want to be here tonight" shut up

I do think the score earlier was a little deceptive as FSU moved the ball pretty much at will, but kept coughing it up right into an Oregon player's hands.

It just seems like Oregon is due to break through this year. They've been knocking on the door for awhile now.

Bias? Hatred? Naw I don't hate on MSU. I said several times today I was happy MSU came back and won for the good of the big 10.

I just find the UM obsession exhibited by so many MSU fans/alums funny more than anything. I see it every day from friends, coworkers and even my own family.

I went to hang out a MSU many times. It is an excellent place to go to have a good time. There are definitely major advantages to the school.

I am glad you post on this forum Jessica and consider you among the true Michigan faithful whether or not you ever attended Michigan. I don't see the need to respond to Sparty trolls coming to the MICHIGAN forum talking about hate and bias, or calling Michigan fans names, or challenging them regarding whether or not they attended Michigan. To call someone a "Walvarine" smacks of the kind of elitism which these trolls condemn Michigan fans for.

Have you noticed how these Sparty posters all have Spartan, MSU, or both in their names. Kind of like they are so insecure about their affiliation that they have to put it in their name and sometimes more than once like it is some sort of a validation.
