Jan 1 Bowl Games

I gotta say in Year 1 of the playoff I'm loving the bowl schedule and format now. You had some good appetizers early in the day and then 2 biggies at the end on New Year's Day. It almost feels like how New Year's Day used to be before they decided to water it all down and spread all the BCS bowls out over a week. Some good games on New Year's Eve too.

Alabama playing like the game was over once they got to 21-6.

And you know what I have to say to that? Is that OSU is playing like Alabama at the moment. Whenever it looks like a team may be getting the better of Bama in the 1st half, they regroup as OSU has done, and totally take control of the game. I don't know if that's going to happen, but momentum sure has swung in OSU's favor, especially with Landon Collins getting hurt. He's by far Alabama's best DB.

Bias? Hatred? Naw I don't hate on MSU. I said several times today I was happy MSU came back and won for the good of the big 10.

I just find the UM obsession exhibited by so many MSU fans/alums funny more than anything. I see it every day from friends, coworkers and even my own family.

I went to hang out a MSU many times. It is an excellent place to go to have a good time. There are definitely major advantages to the school.

My mistake then, I kindly retract my statement. I'm not the anti UM guy either. I don't think anyone from out of state truly can be

Very exciting day, to say the least, for college football fans.

Ha, UM class of 07. Have not shopped at walmart anytime in the recent past. Don't know why you would have picked me in particular for your walverine shtick. Honestly, you should have been able to tell by the way I write that I didn't attend Central. The double adjective in the quote was enough.

Rumseyhouse is Alumnus, too.

I'm happy FSU is done I couldn't watch 1 more Houdini like escape against mediocre teams

Usually the constant haters aren't. There is a new breed I've yet to experience

I think we (as in the posters in this thread) are 'trolling' a lot more than 'hating'. But some of the stuff that has been posted, such as minimizing Jim Harbaugh's job at Stanford, has been genuinely confusing.

He's a great get and he will resurrect things if given time. I think if UM doesn't win at least 8 next year and improve upon that the year after UM fans are going to put him on the chopping block. All things said I'd be fist pumping also

I'd say osu tonight as a fuck you to the sec, then oregon next week as a fuck you to osu.

Eh, I have lower expectations than that. Over .500 I would consider a success in year 1. If he gets a shock win over MSU or OSU that would be a success even if they finish under .500 IMO.

What is the feeling on this OSU Bama game? Should I want OSU to win? I'm conflicted.

As long as Bama doesn't win it again. Oregon Bama is a better matchup but I even pull for UM in OOC games. It depends how much you like the conference and don't like the Perpetual SEC suck offs

Won't they be returning most of what was already a fairly decent defense? If Harbaugh can get any semblance of an offense going there, I'd expect significant improvement in Year 1.

I was off on this game.. Thought bama would roll... Although Bama went away from running it and it has cost them...

that's a crazy d smith stat. 30 tds, 38 yds per td avg
