Jim Washburn Hired!

Mayhew has the Rank, he therefore has the Responsibility. He gets the credit, he gets the blame. He's in charge of the scouts, their failures and successes are his also.

Thanks Mr. obvious but it's not Mayhew looking over player tape and game footage.

But he is responsible for the guys who do and if they are not doing the job rightbit isbhis responsibility to get guys who are better. Don't act like MM is blameless.

Who is saying that?

mayhew listens to scouts and coaches, watches youtube videos with schwartz.....then he makes the pick.

Only de weve drafted is young, this year de is a priority need. They should get what they need this year. As far as the late round picks they are a crap shoot anyway and we have traded most away for starters and the ones we have used have resulted on young, fox, slh. Not horrible but not the best, this last year was the most we have had in a while and the jury is still out on those.

The obvious needs are the ones that worry me with mayhew. Were all assuming he goes away from avril and kvb lol. What if he keeps both? Ive wanted a starting cb and new oline for over 10 years....im still waiting for those too lol.

For the right price I have no problem with avril as long as they bring in more talent to compete with him cause young still has a long way to go. As far as kvb I see him being cut and brought back when we have injuries. I want a cb too but ill take a s first. As far as the o line sadly that was our strongest position group when they took over so it has been neglected draft wise. They got reif and if they can add a piece a year that will change things. Reif, & sims so we are 40% of the way there.

No fucking kidding me. But do I expect DE and especially CB, nope. I thought there was no way we wouldn't use a high pick on a CB in 2010, same thing in 2011 and again in 2012.

Is their anyone who used a 1st on a DB in our division? Vikings only trading up with using 2nd round pick. But they traded down from 1st to 2nd to get Cook.

Tramon nope undrafted, Hayward nope trade up late 2nd using 3rd and 5th, Woodson Free agent(was a high 1st), Burnett 3rd, McMillian 4th

Tillman 2nd, Jennings FA(former 2nd rounder), Conte 3rd, Wright 3rd, DJ Moore 4th, Hardin 3rd

Winfield FA(was a 1st), Chris Cook (close Vikings traded down from 1st to 2nd), Robinson 3rd, Smith (1st after a trade up), Sanford nope

Houston (6th and 7th, was a 2nd rounder), Bentley 3rd, Lacey FA (undrafted), Bartell FA(2nd rounder by Rams), Delmas 2nd, Spievey 3rd, Greenwood 5th, Green 6th

Super Bowl teams Rogers FA (was a top 10 1st in Washington), Brown (5th round), Culliver 3rd, Whitner(FA was a top 10 1st in Buffalo), Goldson (4th round)

Ravens Webb 2nd, Cary Williams FA, Jimmy Smith 1st, Ed Reed 1st(in 2001 draft), Pollard(free agent)

houston, lacey and delmas are free agents. spievey is a rfa and blows. Greenwood and green suck. lolbartell. Our secondary is in much worse shape than any of the teams in the division. To be honest if you lok at position group by position group...i dont think theres a single one that we have the best out of the bunch....maybe WR but even that is a mess with nate being paid too much, titus being a whack job and broyles being crippled. CJ....just kinda trumps everyone else, but id still have to pick GBs wr corps over our as far as a "group" goes.

QB - packers
RB - MIN
WR - Pack
oline - Min (but they have some FA concerns)
TE - they all kinda suck. We might even be tops in this group...but who cares?
DE - chi or min. gb could be close if you count matthews
DT - DET
LB - chi probably as a group. theyre probably better even without urlacher.
cb - id think pack but chi outplayed them this year
s - not us
k - ill give hanson the nod
p - Min

soooo....we have a good kicker that might not be back and we have good DTs that get doubled cause our DEs are horrid. this would translate into being winless in the division.

Houston and Delmas will be back. Bartell did solid in the one game he played, shut down Marshall. Spievey can be solid. Give him an actual healthy season and offseason but they will probably upgrade due to concussion concerns anyway.

I'm sure Colts fans said LMFAO Jennings when the Bears picked him up after Tim Jennings got beat out by Jacob Lacey in Indy. Bartell could be our Jennings.

CJ by himself is better than GB core of wide receivers.
