Johnny 2 times 2 times

MSU fandom is at an all time peak. From the Purdue game:

Has to be due to bad food served. The lines for the restroom were so long that during the second half the shit overflowed onto the field.

I would rather wait until we win the damn game to start popping off.. Mark and his staff are hiding stuff right now.. I do hope you are right.

I'm not popping off about anything. I said I don't think their offense is anything special, especially since the defense held what has shown to be a much more potent offense to all of 17 points.

Ok sorry. .. i am just trying to temper my fired-up-Ness if they makes any sense.

It absolutely makes sense. In this case though I was being objective already. I'm being cautious with my expectations as well, but you must admit it's nice knowing they have a chance against everyone, even if they are still the dog for a few games.

For sure.. I just think MSU is really banged up and playing to the level of their competition right now. i sure hope we win and we do have a excellent shot with our defense.

MSU has earned my respect for what the coaching staff has done at that program. Regardless of what they've looked like so far this season, they always play us hard regardless, and that is what Hoke's teams lacked. We never matched the Spartans intensity on the field, and that is why we've gotten our butts whopped on consistently.

Michigan can win absolutely, but I am by no means cocky or confident about it right now. At the very best it's a toss up game in my eyes with MSU still the favorite.

I wish MSU didn't have so many injuries and was playing more dominating football, as I would rather MSU be ranked #2 (or even #1) when UM plays them this year.

I don't think I have ever not respected state or the program under Dantonio. Proof has been on the field.

It's the fact that no matter what, that respect is never reciprocal. Michigan could/did beat state year in and year out but that never garnered 'respect'

Add to the fact that now state has 'Walmart Spartans' like johnnydildo that vastly outnumber those 'Walmart Wolverines' and forget it. That fanbase is built on two things -- Spite towards Michigan and envy wrapped in a Psych-101 textbook so basic it doesn't warrant discussing.

That's what made the skywriting incident so stupid ...that's something sparty fan would do, not Michigan. Because we're above that and only a 'marketing guru' with no ties to the state of Michigan thought it was funny ....and his assclown of a boss.

How silly. You want them to be subjectively ranked higher and playing subjectively better football?? You play the next team on the schedule and under ranked State teams have always gotten up for UM, regardless of how UM was playing.

Just win
And then win again next year.
And then win
And more winning

It's already evened up in hoops

I said this on the MSU board, but the injury bug has finally affected them after so long. They have been beyond healthy during this run they've been on and haven't dealt with anyone major getting hurt.

maybe it's withdrawal from the steroids Narduzzi took with him to Pitt...?

Yeah, nothing like a three hour lightning delay to test the mettle of a fanbase.

Lol, even fellow Spartans call you a twat. Of course, it's not like you got into State or went there, either, or anything

Both are cherry-picked and lack context. That Purdue pic is 2nd half after we were up 21-0 on a cold and rainy day. And it's also the result of a stupid policy change by Hollis - a couple years ago they decided to make the student section general admission and opened the gate more than an hour before kickoff. Then the he goes and blames the fans for leaving the Nebraska game early after they'd been sitting in the cold and rain for more than 5 hours and the game was still in the 3rd qtr. By then everyone was sober, freezing and the game seemed well in hand.

to me both photos show that fans have common sense. Who wants to sit in the stands in the rain when there are perfectly good bars to go to?
