Jones: Deion could stop Megatron

1 game is not enough to say someone could shutdown someone else. Play the following week and Calvin might have 10 catches 150.

Not to mention when they played the Jets it was at a time that Stafford was having a hard time keeping his shoulders attached.

Don't they play TB this year? Revis might not be what he was in 2011 though. Idk man, that game convinced me that Revis was the best corner in the league. I remember Stafford challenging Revis on one of the first plays of the game. Could tell right there, that CJ was not going to have a big game. I understand your homerism, but saying Revis didn't shut him down is just plain ignorant.

Shut down.....I doubt it.

Some Noteable games Deion vs Jerry Rice

3 for 33
6 for 100+
8 for 171 1 TD
13 for 225 5TDs (game stats not sure how much he covered him one on one)
5 for 161 1TD
4 for 46

Rice had more 100+ yard games vs Deion (6) than 50 or fewer (4)

Who said that? I just said the next game could have been different. I remember when Barry got shutdown once only to torch the same team the next time they played.

1 game means little. I don't expect 329 yards the next time we play Dallas.

Just say in they're 1 match up Revis shut CJ down

I wouldnt even say that Revis shut him down. I would say that the offense did. In the second quarter after Stafford went out Hill just stopped looking over there. Up until that point the offense was moving the ball and CJ had a few targets. I think he had 4 that whole game. So you can't catch a ball if it isnt thrown to you.

Saying someone shutdown someone else ONCE is different that saying someone can shutdown someone else. No doubt Revis is a hell of a CB. You have to dig deeper.

Revis also had a safety over the top all game long. So its not like it was a true 1 v 1 match up.
