Damn, hope everything goes okay. I know I would be shitting myself in his shoes. I can't even imagine the fear they must be dealing with.
 
Hope they can take it out without hurting her! Man this is terrible news.
 
The one nice part about being the QB of the Lions... your wife is going to get the absolute best medical care anywhere in the world.

He's got high quality insurance, and anything that is gap... that team is going to cover because they can't afford to have a distracted QB. She will have in-home nurses, doctors... male strippers if she needs them.

If there is any chance what-so-ever of this going badly, they will cover every possible base. And if something still goes wrong, it just flat out couldn't be avoided.

Someone posted a link to one of those BS news sites (like newsabc123.com or some shit) this morning saying Kelly Stafford had passed away.

My heart sank until I looked again and it was the same site that reported Morgan Freeman was dead, Samuel L. Jackson was dead, Madonna was dead.

Let's all hope we don't have to see the real thing.

Two weeks ago, Kelly Stafford, wife of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew, announced via Instagram that she had been diagnosed with a brain tumor that requires surgery. On Tuesday, she provided a brief update, letting her followers know that she is preparing for said surgery this week (via her Instagram story):
“Last time I was packing for the hospital, it was in August when sweet hunter was coming into this world,” Kelly wrote. “A different kind of packing this time with a different kind of feeling.. but one thing is certain.. I’m excited for this journey to come to an end and move on with my live!”
It’s great to see her so positive about her situation, and we’re sending all of our positive vibes her way. You can do this, Kelly! We can’t wait to see you rooting on your husband from the stands again soon!

The last two days, the Lions and media are respecting Matt Stafford's request to keep everything to do with Kelly's surgery under wraps. At least for now.

It doesn't sound promising that she will be able to hear in the ear where the tumor is/was.

I lost 100% hearing in my left ear years ago. It took a few months to get used to, but trust me, it's no world ender. She will live a normal healthy life if that's all it is.

Here's to hoping they save her hearing against the odds, but even more so, that she's okay.
