Yeah, I worked for a few years before I went to MSU so I was 21 my first year there, I got stopped and searched on the way home from the library on the way home one night and almost went to jail because I didn't have my drivers license on me to prove I was 21. It was completely out of control there.
When I was there I had friends in the dorm, well the MSU police passed a law that said if you opened the door when police knocked you have agreed to a search of your dorm room. With no peep holes you pretty much had to open the door to see who it was.
Chris L Rucker got a DUI for exactly what I described, the cops told him he had to move his car from the street to the parking garage, he complied and did so, when he got out of his car the officer asked him, "have you been drinking?" Then he blew a .095 which was above the just established legal limit of .08, but below the previous limit of .10.
Just to think these are only a few personal examples! Ive never seen so many illegal tactics being used to try and catch people drinking. Ive never been a cop hater but I hated them there. Funny one for you. In 1994 there was a snowstorm and the yearly Brody vs Wonder/Wilson snowball fight broke out. I was just going to a friends from where I was (west circle) Hundreds of people there. A cop goes down the middle of Harrison and snowball hits the cop car then the cop stops and honks, everyone proceeds to pepper the car with snowballs (everyone within distance). There were so many people he just took off and everyone continued :lmao::lmao::cheers:
