Last 4 games.....what are you looking for?

Season was "over" early on. Terrible defense......terrible offense.....Blown 21 pt lead in the opener.... Mega Fumble in Seattle....Hail Mary in the D.

What does everyone REALISTICALLY want to see in the last 4 to feel better about 2016? Or, is anyone convinced we are bound to be turrble next year?

For me, its 3 things.

1. Can Stafford continue his effectiveness under JBC??

2. Can the O-line gel to the point that we only have to look at a LT in the draft (moving Reiff to RT) or do we need a new LT, RT AND C?

3. Can Abdullah be counted on for a bigger role? Statistically, he's only lost 1 fumble this year......and he has been much better lately. His explosiveness is NEEDED on 1st and 2nd down in this offense. Nobody fears Bell, and having Riddick in the game means teams can play us one dimensionally.

Most of my other ?'s relate to personnel. And there are a TON of personnel questions for the off season. The new GM will have his hands full, that's for sure.

I want to see the recent drafted players, play. And I would like a backup QB select mid round.

ties into a previous thread....but right now were tied with 6 teams to draft anywhere from 4 -10. I would like to see the offense be more consistent....which should happen with the weak schedule down the stretch. But with that said id like to see poor enough play to secure Caldwell being fired and a top 5 pick for our new GM so we can start the new era off on the right foot.

Continue the youth movement. Emerging stars in Ansah and Slay. Quality starters in Abdullah and Whitehead. And at least rotational contributions from Reid, Lawson, Diggs, Quddus, Taylor. I want Stafford to continue to do well despite my past and current reservations. Really after Mayhew was fired I really don't have much to complain about. Well at least I have Caldwell's terrible decision making to satisfy my Lions angst.

What Hughes said...good play, but still lose enough for top 5 pick and Caldwell fired.

I want to see a head coach whom understands there is nothing to lose and plays to win instead of playing to force the other team into using timeouts so they don't have any left when they get the ball back for one last attempt

I want to see a head coach makes the years of shit his problem to....ahhh who am I kidding too late now easy to call games properly once you are officially out of it, I want to see Caldwell fired and replaced with someone whom gets what it means for this franchise to stop playing not to lose when up regardless of the week or how much they are up by

I'm looking for Dec. 31 to get here. Cotton Bowl time. To heck with these big blue losers.

Sean Payton asking Jim Caldwell about good schools and real estate opportunities in Detroit.

More Van Noy, Diggs, Devin Taylor, and others that need to prove themselves (more).

I keep hearing they won't use any seldom used players. That they still want to win.. I get the wanting to win but you need to play your young guys. I can't wait until this staff is gone. They don't develop any young players.

Slay? Ansah?

I want Caldwell gone too......but not Austin.

Payton taking over would mean a COMPLETE offensive overhaul and probably at least one year of awfulness. Maybe 2.

Might be worth it though.....as it would rid us of Stafford's and CJ's contracts (though by then Slay and Ansah would have big contracts of their own).

I'm not sure they developed Ansah? He was a star in the making and a high draft pick. I was more referring to the seldom use players who we don't have an idea how good they might be.

So what is your cutoff? If high picks can't be developed.....where can a guy be drafted and be developed?

Also, what about Slay? I noticed you left him out.

Both Slay and Ansah are playing at a completely different level than last year...thats a fact.

I'm saying Caldwell, Schwartz, or 'Hughes Ansah was going to be good. They do tend to improve as time goes by. Just look at our 2nd round picks. Develop someone. And this is the perfect time to play some of these guys but they won't. I'm still not sold on Slay.

I 100% agree young guys should be playing right now.....no doubt about it.

Slay WAS a 2nd.....and if you can't see he is one of the best 10 or so corners in the game.....well.....I can't help you.

Slay has been nothing short of awesome this year.

Hughes wouldn't have blown second rd picks on the likes of best Leshoure and broyles.

Just an opinion is all. I'll wait until next year. He did have some questionable games early in the year.
