at Pittsburgh (8-8 after 0-4 start, so 8-4 finish). In Pittsburgh. Tough game.

at Philly in a blizzard(10-6 division winner, 9-3 finish for Eagles season). Fuck the SOS.

Ravens (8-8, 5-3 finish and got a miracle Field goal to beat Detroit)

All were on hot streaks and make the playoffs alot. Fuck the SOS on those. Those were three tough games.


Giants game (turnovers(Calvin limited against Giants, no Pettigrew). Giants are consisntent playoff team and by the way the Giants finished the season 7-3. Fuck the SOS on that one with all the pressure on Detroit.


Bucs game took 6 turnovers (the last 2 rather crazy turnovers by Durham and Calvin(not Stafford but Stafford did make 2 good plays on those turnovers). They should have won this game. Bucs did win 2 coming into this game. They won 4 out of 5 in that stretch, then sucked 0-3 to finish after 0-8 start. Played Bucs in their best stretch.


And no Calvin/Pettigrew/Waddle/Houston/Bentley(run game which had Jason Fox(sucks) play) at Vikings. Vikings finished season 4-3-1. In the last game ever at the Metro Dome. Fuck SOS at the Metro Dome.

Throw out the SOS on that. Consistent playoff teams and hot teams.

Detroit had to win 2 more. They didn't. Good 6-3 start. 1-6 finish sucks.

LKP, in all seriousness, are you feeling ok? Your post makes me wonder if you are about to snap, like really snap. I think you are getting a little to caught up in trying to justify how good the Lions are despite their record and missing the playoffs. We know they should have won those games, but at the end of the day they didn't. Let's try to regroup a little, enjoy what we can of the playoffs, and focus on the Draft. We've been through this before and will again, it's ok, honestly. So they lost, big deal. At the end of the day it is just a sport and there are more important things in life.

Not trying to debate anything here, what's done is done and we can only move forward. Just honestly a little concerned that it is eating at you a little more than might be healthy.

Here is what happened, all the talent in the world, had the div all but wrapped up and then...total complete utter dissater that are the same ol lions strike...it's always something, year after year, on and on and on..excuses and more excuses, if only this, or only that, fluke this, bad luck that..ad nausea


..the team needs a leader and someone whom understands that this franchise has nothing to protect, nothing to lose, need a staff that knows how to put games away, properly movitavte on a consistent basis and plays to win as apposed to playing not to lose, did you see that first half Sunday?

I saw a team that was just going through the motions and had completely laid down even the half time commentators on fox where shaking theirs heads like wow wtf..

He didn't understand why fans where boo'ing kneel downs..

23 seconds and two times outs is enough time to try and at least get into FG range for points to win the game, he didn't coach to win, he coached not to lose and this wasn't the first time..it had to happen he didn't get it, the franchise needs someone that gets it

We had yet another 2nd half collapse which consisted of our coaches losing games again, our qb pissing 4th quarter leads away, scoring 3 points in a half vs the giants, 0 points at half vs the shitty Vikings, 7 points at half vs the shitty ravens, 8 points at half vs the 32nd ranked philly pass defense, 0 points by the offense in the 2nd half vs the 32nd ranked philly pass defense, 7 points in the second half vs the shitty bucs. Come on hughes. Packers lose that game regardless of Rodgers playing. There could be and argument on whether gb beats the Lions with cj in the first game though. The great thing about the NFC North is that no matter how much the Lions suck, the rest of the division is either worse or not much better.
