I wouldn't mind the negativity if people actually knew what they were talking about. They just spout generic negativity and deliberately ignore all the good things about stafford. Giving up on stafford is not only dumb but pointless given his contract.
They put all the negativity on one side of the scale, you put all the positivity on the other...yet the scale balances out toward the negative. Why? W v L
That is the only stat that matters. Is it fair that W-L fall onto the pitcher, especially in the AL when the pitcher doesn't even have the opportunity to bring in a run? No. Nonetheless, a pitcher is primarily judged based on W-L.
Same holds for NFL QBs. No they don't play on D, but the W-L record falls onto their shoulders. No one asks about the W-L record of any other player on the field.
Sorry LKP, you can quote every positive stat you want and place them all on the positive side of the scale. I'll put his W-L record on the other side and the scale will tilt to the negative every time, regardless of how many stats you place on the positive side.
W-L is in essence, equal to Infinity or Negative Infinity...and right now, it is on the side of Negative Infinity. Yes, we all know it is possible he can turn it around, but until he does there is not a single stat nor an infinite number of other stats that you can place on the other side that will ever tilt the scales to your side of the argument.
Period. End of story. You need to come to grips with that. Potential is NOTHING compared to reality.
