they wont waste a valuable spot like that just to eat a suspension.

Suspended players won't take up a roster spot once you hit Week 1-4. Will Smith didn't count for the Saints final roster cut down last year. You have to cut someone obviously when LeShoure comes back which you would do any way earlier if he wasn't suspended.

Its not the fact that its illegal that most people care about. It is the fact that it is stupid to do something so fleeting which can cost you your multi-million dollar job playing a kids game. What is the point?

Doesn't weed effect your driving and other motor skills? I don't know but legalizing it would just have more accidents. Unless its like the 70's show and you just do it in the basement.

I've driven stoned many times when just cruising the main-drags of the D in the 70s, never came close to getting into an accident, but one time I remember on a Friday night, a pair of cops in a squad car were driving alongside me, while checking out my hotrodded black Camaro z28. The cop in the passenger seat, actually gave me a very surprising thumbs-up, and I sure was stoned as all hell... About a couple of blocks later, a driver of a car that was in the turnaround island of the divided street must have been drunk, b/c he pulled out right in front of both of our cars, I skid-stopped in time, but the cops' car didn't, and broadsided the drunk...I swerved out of the way on the right of the crash, and just kept going...lol. To be more fair though, the cops' car was in the far left lane,and ~a half-car length ahead of mine, and I was driving in the middle-lane.

It's true they don't. Looking at Lions transactions last year per their website they were able to put Suh on some suspended list and signed Ricardo Silva to roster. Suspensions free up roster spot while they are suspended. TC LeShoure would count and he would count once he's back.

I hope not. PUP means suspension after he's healthy and he can't come off regular season PUP until after Week 6 in the 3 week window period. So that's 10 games without him if they are forced to PUP him due to injury plus suspension. Lions can't make him healthy though so hopefully he's ready by at least mid to end of training camp so he's not on regular season PUP and just rests during his suspension.

Really hope we just get lucky on a technicality and he wasn't in stage 2 of the program yet and there is just a fine and more monitoring. But 4 game suspension seems to be reality but even if he wasn't in stage 2, Goodell could give him a 2 game suspension for conduct.
