When you start 6-3 AND Rogers and Cutler go out for multiple games, AND you play the weakest schedule in the NFL the last 7 weeks of the season and don't win going away, you don't consider that a disappointment?

But we took care of the Bears and Packers already. Buccaneers and Pittsburgh games are the only real dissapointment because we 100% should have had those games. Philly game was won too but the Eagles are explosive. Time to take care of home and stomp out the Ravens and the Giants.

I thought this team was an 8-9 win team anyways. My expectations are right where they should be. NONE.

Yeah 4-1 in this division with the one loss without Calvin. But let's focus on the other games.


The Bucs are very good at turning the ball over and are better with Glennon and the weather was shit in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

The winning percentage of teams we faced since week 9 is .411. We lost to a Tampa team that was 2-8 at home and a Pittsburg team that just lost to Miami! Real quality losses. It's not like we were playing the Seahawks and Broncos. This team has regressed towards their true selves yet again. I'm with you Tom the coaches have to take a Lions share of the blame pun intended.

They have a lot of close losses. Even at Seattle they should have won. Playoff bound maybe. Much more talented then they get credit for. McCoy(beast and caused some turnovers in the Lions game), David (beast, had a pick), Revis.

We'll see if the Lions pull it together.. No excuses in the next 3. Good dome climate. Giants and Vikings turn it over just as bad as the Lions do (34 and 25). And don't force alot of turnovers 21 and 18.

Ravens forced 17 and allowed 22.


We'll see how the Lions do stopping Rice/Pierce,Brown and a gimpy Peterson.

To me, They are a lot like U of M football. Coaches holding back a team that is more talented than their record. Are they ready to compete with San Fran, Seattle and N.O.? No way. Not with dumb and dumber (Schwartz and Gunther) out there.

But to say the season is a big disappointment when they have a legit shot at a home playoff game?

I would call it a disappointment either way. The only way it wouldn't be is if they all turned things around together (coaches/players) by some miracles, and this ain't Auburn football over here.

Say they back into the playoffs: Schwartz job is safe probably for the next two years at least, all while they get BLOWN OUT in the first round of the playoffs. Mediocrity will ensue with the same clowns in charge (for future seasons).

Say they tank the last 3 games (which is my guess if I had to pick between the two): It will be one of the most disappointing seasons in some time due to the talent on this team. It very well could lead to coaching changes which might give us hope for next year, because all we need are some coaches that can actually coach and hold these guys accountable for more than just saying the right things.

I want this team to be great. They have some pieces there that can make for some really good/great football. Whatever needs to be done in order for them to get there, then I'm all for it. I just don't think making the playoffs this year is gonna be good for many people outside of Schwartz's job security.

This team finds ways to beat themselves, they are all under preforming and only excel at shooting themselves in the foot.

The table was set perfectly for this team this year to actually win their div for the first time in gaawd knows how long and yet they find ways to f it up by not being able to beat sub .500 teams and having massive cases of brain cramps and tournoveritis. That's the Lions! Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory since 1957.

Move away! worked for the Browns, then unlike the Browns don't bring another franchise back years later either!
