Leyland

He's a trainwreck out there. He's terrible with with lineups, he doesn't know how to manage a bullpen, treats the media like shit and shows zero respect for them. He's done so much garbage the last couple of years, it's maddening.

It's time to move on...

He's terrible because the way he treats the media???? C'mon Tony....that's reaching....even for you.

I guess Bobby Cox and Lou Pinella are the worst managers of all time then!!!

Thats fuckin funny!!!

Settle down princess.....I got it.

But I can't read.....so.....what??

Enlighten me on how, specifically, Leyland has been so bad this year??

Enlighten you?? Where the hell do i begin?? Jesus Christ, man...where have you been?

He's thrown away a handful of games this year. Top of my head...

1) Playing Raburn for so long
2) Playing Inge for so long

I guarantee sitting and or releasing these guys was not his idea. His loyalty is his stupidity.

3) How many times has Coke been left in there vs righties and he's blown the game?
4) Been a few games where the "squeeze" has come into play and either he's missed it or hasn't called it when we should have used it.
5) Delmon in the 5th spot for so long?
6) Horrible BP decisions ...see #3
7) Sitting guys that deserve to play over others and vice versa.

The list goes on and on. Too bad the Leyland apologists don't see. It's embarrassing...

And i know i have missed something!!

anyone who has their 1st 3 hitters hitting under the Mendoza line for almost half a season,is fucking crazy....especially with Peralta,Boesch and Avila having career years and sticking them at the bottom of the lineup.

Reaching?? Why, have you ever seen him after a game? Especially after a loss? He's either stuffing his face like a fn monkey or berating a reporter for asking "why is Raburn still playing". He's a fn child. No reach here, just facts.....

And at least Cox and Pinella knew when to call it quits. This old Fuck Leyland won't leave until he's grabbed by his dirty cigarette stained stache and shown the door.

Oh, and I NEVER reach..............

I respect that but I DON'T.

Other managers don't see half the shit we do....

You realize that the other managers have faced Leyland and the Tigers HUNDREDS of times combined over the last 6.75 years don't you?

To say we see more than they do is....well....

Wait, if I can't read....how the hell am I typing this?????

I think the word you're looking for is correct.

How do you know it's correct if you don't know what it is???

You a mind reader???

How many fingers am I holding up??

(here's a clue...it's one...but which one?)

They should pick random fans to run the team each day, so we can have somebody new to bitch about.

However I'm fairly sure that whoever is hired next, no matter who it is, at least half the fan base will want him fired by mid-season.

I hope the next guy that manages can also create a competent 5 hole hitter out of thin air....othewise this fan base will want him castrated by game 20.

So you're saying that Leyland is an idiot because he didn't put a guy in the 5 hole with these numbers.....

.263 8HR 44RBI .727 OPS
.260 7HR 35RBI .760 OPS

over a guy who is

.265 13HR 49RBI .698OPS??

Seems like a pretty bad argument to make. They all suck. At best you're splitting hairs right there. AT BEST.

And how many of those times he put Valverde in those situations had he not pitched in a number of days prior??? Guy needs to get work, right??

The arguments you're making seem to be trivial. I guess that's my point. Saying he is horrible because of some of these points is dumb. It's not like he's batting Delmon 5th over Josh Hamilton or Joey Votto.

And I'm not sure id put Benoit in a game right now AT ALL unless I was trying to get someone out in the LF seats a HR ball.

I said based on last years numbers you goof. Damn it man, read.

Even using this years numbers...a .60 advantage in OPS is far from splitting hairs, that is a very large difference.

Just a very ignorant comment to make.

You mean ignorant like realizing that a .60 advantage is the difference between a .300 OPS and a .900 OPS....which WOULD be huge.

Ouch. That stung didn't it. I'll give you a minute to let that "ignant" comment set in!!

Why would you base it on 2011's numbers, save the first 3-4 weeks??

If that were the case, you wouldn't be batting AJ in the leadoff spot. Not with a .317 OBP and 180 K's in '11. It doesn't make sense.

My question still....who would you bat 5th right now?

Yup.

Now we've both made ignorant comments.

You're still wrong though.

We're not talking about AJ we're talking about batting Delmon "yeah I know I suck" Delmon at 5. And I bet if the SS or C hit 5 from the start they'd have better numbers. You know why? Because they would come up with more men on base.

But you can't see that so no reason to discuss with you anymore. Btw, RISP - Avila OBP is about 100 points more.
