My bad - I misunderstood what you meant by that. Maybe it was a little over the top but there's something to be said for the level of outrage over everything Trump has done. This may not be the best example but there is a large part of the Democratic party that has lost it and as I said before, if they keep cranking it up to 11 for every headline, they're going to lose support and more of the middle will shift to Republicans, even with Trump leading the party.

Given the millions of people and the unprecedented number of protests in two weeks, it's surprising that the events in Berkeley are the exception.

Sort of like a football game with 75,000 people ...bound to have a few drunk ass losers in the stadium just by odds alone.

Also, a Milo supporter/fan shot someone just a couple weeks ago, so it's not likely a great idea to go into a place like gasoline-soaked Berkeley with a lit torch.

I know, but it is entirely possible that fewer police were around because before anything happened, the administration was thinking more about not over-reacting than about the potential for there to be rioters. If there were more police, maybe there would have been arrests.

In the video you posted, I see 7 officers from shots filmed while there were rioters. They're huddled together in a group. That's the most you see at any one time until it gets to the 'live' shots that are after the rioting is over.

I don't know that much about Steve Bannon but I do know that Joel Pollack, an orthodox Jew who happens to be married to a black woman and others who have worked for Bannon have come out to say Steve Bannon isn't an anti-semite or a racist. Even if he is prejudiced against Jews, I can't see him being any more or even as anti-semitic or anti-Israel as the Democrats. I also have a hard time believing the claim considering Trump's position on Israel and the fact that his daughter and son-in-law are practicing Jews - I hardly think he'd put an anti-semite in a position like Bannon's. Also, he's been a Republican operative for all of about 5 minutes - can you name any actual politicians or aspects of the Republican platform that are overtly bigoted?

Didn't really know much about Milo before the whole fracas Twitter with Leslie Jones or whatever from SNL and Ghostbusters. I watched a speech or two of his and I couldn't understand the fuss - just the usual conservative perspective.

To be in fair, reports from Berkeley today indicate that very few believe that any of the 150 black clad terrorists were Berkeley students. They seem to be part of an anarchist organization that calls itself a "Anti--Far," or something like that. I'm hearing news that the terrorists were physically assaulting students participating in the peaceful protest.

It does seem unlikely to me that a person would jeopardize the future benefits that a degree from Berkeley can bring by doing something so stupid as to participate in violence at a protest.

Weird thing is that-at least in my opinion-Milo is pretty unimportant. He's basically a political humorist like Ann Coulter or Bill Mahar or Chelsea Handler - he is hardly worth participating even in a peaceful protest against.

I'm hearing that no arrests were made. I'm hearing people saying that the police were actually doing nothing.

Maybe Berkley is so liberal that the police there have actually become lefties themselves, and view criminals as victims.
