Liberal scientists band together to cripple job creators like the Koch Brothers

Funny that they never had a problem with massive deficits due to lowering taxes while waging two wars when bush was president? I wonder why it's a big deal with all of these rural whites. What's so different about obama? Hmmmm?

But that's my point. You're talking about the GOP of the Bush era and the real, initial 'Tea Party' is not the same thing. That group did oppose the spending in Iraq and out of control spending overall. Once Obama was running and then elected, it became trendy to say you were in the Tea Party ...but by then it was more posturing because Obama was a Black President and having him control the national checkbook was objectionable.

Beck and that ...view was simply racism dressed up as patriotism and false indignation.

I was watching a documentary the other day and they had a GOP congressman who actually believes global warming is real and he interviewed some deniers. he had a good analogy, he said if 98 doctors said that your child was sick and needed medical attention, would you make it a point to seek out the 2 and go with their advice?

Wow, just wow. Reread what you just wrote and apply that to the voter suppression thread where you are defending the 2% claiming it is too difficult to get an I'd and therefore do not vote.

And no, I'm not one to believe global warming is a falicy, but I do think there are many factors involved. We need to do what we cqn to limit our individual impact, and it all added uptogether can have an impact...but there are still many other factors in the equation.

It's time to stop factoring shit and acknowledge the world is getting warmer and the consequences will be drastic and that this change has taken place largely in the last 30yrs.

Rising oceans and general climate change may be due to many things, but sitting around contemplating what they might be is a waste of time.

That's a complete reach, they're different issues and not applicable. On the voter supression issue, my point is that we should do everything possible to increase voter turnout, not discourage it due to the possibility of in person voter fraud which is basically non existent.

As for this issue, the gop goes out of their way to find the one out of 50 climate scientists that doesn't believe global warming is caused by human activity. A better example would be a 98% likelihood of a terrorist attack but saying we shouldn't prepare for one based on the 2% chance it doesn't happen.

I browsed the membership rolls of Tea Party groups throughout Michigan several years ago. It was common to see the same members joining multiple groups in the state, as well as individuals registering multiple times to make it appear that their group's ranks were growing. One woman in particular had registered on every single MI group in the state.

Yes, we should do everything possible to increase voter turnout, but why are you worried about this 2% making FALSE claims that it is too difficult to get a state ID? You piss and moan about the stupidity of the GOP's 2% who claim Global Warming is fiction, yet you completely buy into the concept put forth by the Libs that it is impossible for 2% of the population to vote because it is too difficult to get one of the easiest to acquire documents. They are both fiction, yet you buy completely into one simply because it is the thing being put forth by your party. Meanwhile you also completely disregard the other roughly 48% who are not voting, being super-hyper focused on this fictional 2% and proclaiming you are just trying to increase voter turnout. BULLSHIT! If you really wanted to increase voter turnout, why don't you look at something that is far more concerning, or maybe in your world 48 < 2...because that is the type of logic you are using. Wake up and smell the shit you are shoveling.

And global warming is NOT 100% due to humans. There are many SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN causes. Human, volcanic, and solar being the largest factors...but that does not mean humans should not do what they can to reduce their influence. And while that includes the US obviously, there are several nations who are far larger polluters and the world needs to apply pressure to make them stop, starting with China.

Both parties are spouting BS. It is time people stop buying into these things and start actually thinking about whether or not they are getting reeled in because they swallowed the party line hook, line, and STINKer.

LOL...figures. Tea Party people have to do stuff like that to make themselves appear more important than they actually are, like someone creating multiple Facebook profiles and then friending them to their main one so it looks like they have "friends".

Yes, our ilk are the ones known for hate. You know...the ones who blow up abortion clinics, think gay/lesbian people should burn in hell, look down our noses at "sinners", want to make sure everyone and their dog own a gun, preferably with a 30 rd. mag and concealed....oh wait, that's YOUR ilk not ours!

You mistake our apathy for hate.

. . . um once again you fail to grasp what I posted. How in the hell do you get apathy from the post I responded to?

You don't have a clue what my ilk is - so STFU with your own stupid hatred.

If the poster had not used the word "hate" towards so many people quite a number of times in his posts, my post would have less meaning. So, while I understand you getting your panties all in a bunch, my statement stands as a contrast to what I responded to.

Just so you get it, as I know you get all emotional about your own drooling anger-based post, my post had nothing to do anyone else's ilk but those who express their own hatred when talking about another groups hatred.

Unbelievable! I am betting you still don't see the irony of what I responded to.

Please explain what hate I represent K..

I know you Hate Liberals K...

I don't hate anyone Bob. You on the other hand express your hatred towards entire groups of people, when you have no clue what most of them believe.

You use the word "hate" in nearly all of your political posts. Please point to one post where I expressed hatred toward any group of people.

You assume that supporting a conservative cause, like say right to life, means that my supposed "hatred" towards people that support abortion would make me go blow up a clinic. Can you see how silly it is to accuse me of that hatred?

Hey - do what you want. You continue to post your hate filled drivel - and I will continue to call you out on it.

That's what AstroTurf movements look like I guess. Mile wide and an inch deep.

wow, you really think that only 2% of republicans deny human caused global warming? it's actually 2% of scientist that deny it, just a quick survey from pew research showed that 75% of tea party republicans denied that the earth is warming, 40% of non tea partiers. keep in mind that's just accepting that the earth is warming, never mind the cause.

also, enough with the false equivalency with both parties. the republican party is much more extreme in it's views, it's lunatic fringe is a much larger percentage of the party and it's well funded and mobilized.

Yeah, but I would be interested to find out what you believe is the net effect on you caused by this fringe.

Keep out any issue where moderate "normal" GOP members would support the legislation or election.

Also keep out the effects of evil people - the political affiliation of evil people makes very little difference to the effects that their evil might cause for you.

So go - start listing the non-ideological effects on you of some fringe idiot denying that the earth is warming.

Hating what you say is not the same as the hate I was talking about. It figures you wouldn't see the difference.

Only reason to skip everything you said is because it has nothing to do with what I responded to. Spew your talking points all you want - it is all you have.

It would also seem you have no clue what the party represents. Do you know and understand what is actually in the GOP platform?

I'm betting the answer to that is - you have no fucking clue. That is par for this course.

. . . As usual just more insults and hate.

Now tell me to 'STFU' again and tell me how I'm the one who is full of hate.

:-*)

Riiight - keep thinking your drivel means anything other than showing your ignorance.

Sure.. GOP platform ..
Suppress voters, Germander districts because they can't win national elections, Start and have as many war's as possible and leave it to the next president to clean up.. Do not have any meaningful legislation on emigration reform.. Block any and all legislation from Obama THE ELECTED PRESIDENT... LOWER TAXES RATES for the rich and famous corporations so they can even pay less taxes and ship their jobs and companies overseas. Block abortion rights, Block and gay legislations, Block workers right to unionizing by claiming right to work states are great for the worker when in fact they are not... I can go on and on about how
Mitch McConnell and John Beohner have block everything Obama has tried.... And yet when he Asshole Bush was in office we were expected to walk lock step in order...
You just can't keep lowering taxes.... Eventually the infrastructure of the country with crumble.. Unbridle capitalism just will not ever work... Hopefully the majority of American people will continue see what the freaking GOP stands for.... Because they do not represent me... Plus trust me I am not as happy with Obama as some on the left are... He has not called the republicans out enough... He has cowered to McConnell and he tan man to much....
