Lions Gossip

Well I hope some of that article is not true but it is not mistakable that Matt whiffed at taken his team to the next level this year. Weather it is lack of knowledge on his part or other things something just is not right with MS.. Hopefully it can get corrected..

I've read the same thing about how Staff was always at the facility and busted his ass in the offseason so I'd take all these stories with a grain of salt.

As for Bush, you don't need a team meeting. Just stop fumbling. And if you do fumble, don't mope and pout on the sideline like an 8 year old for the rest of the game. Get your head back in the game. That's how you can show leadership.

he needs to stay out of the weight room and find the throw with some touch room.

Sounds like the team really needs a coach that has strong leadership skills first and foremost, I would be careful to ensure it's not old school and or an overbearing disciplinary though, don't go from one extreme to the other please. TIA

Gee a coach that was about to get fired didn't want to mingle with soccer moms. What an asshole. Oh no! Suh didn't sign a football, wish I new this before I became a fan. The coaches insulate Stafford from criticism? You mean half the day isn't spent talking about what was on sports center last night? As for his work ethic, sounds like hearsay and conjecture. Its easy to pile on but these guys have been here for a while and only now are we hearing this shit? With a new coach comes a new culture.

Behind every good lie is a touch of truth making it easier to convince others the lie is true.

Still, I have never heard about Staff studying film and other teams like you bear about with the elite QBs, so it seems there might be a good amount of truth in these stories, even if there is embellishment or other twists that make the overall context a lie.

What a pile of horse shit lmfao. Love how shit like this comes out after a disastrous season and people get fired. Anybody who believes this garbage needs their fn head examined. If this organization and their players were such a trainwreck then why is the Lions HC job the hottest out there? People are so fucked ...

Lots of talent makes it the hottest out there, however if they really thought about that for a second should it really be considered that? IMO no...nobody ever really succeeds here this is the place where coaching careers go to die, why would anyone in their right mind want this job

Because every coach has an ego and thinks he can be the one to fix it. Plus they'll pay him 5 million plus a year. And there's really no pressure to win here. It's never happened. It's really the perfect coaching gig right now. You can't make it worse.

You just said it ..."TALENT". Most of the pieces are in place. Its a fn dream job. A new coach comes in and your QB, DL, LT, most of your OL, RBs are all set. Draft day you concentrate on WRs, DBs and LBs ...of course the other positions as well for depth but in all reality, this team is built to win now. The puzzle is almost complete.

It is absolutely essential they chose the right man for the job, one whom has strong leadership skills, can change the mind set and plays to win rather than plays not to lose, all while not being overbearing as to not alienate...who is best for that job? idk but I do have a few in mind that I don't think would be, and if they end up hiring one of those.. I'm going to probably get upset enough to just burn everything lions I own and never look back
