Lions put Ameer Abdullah on injured reserve

Yes. Yes i was. He juked himself so hard he broke his own ankle. Nice job.

You can't control that. Backs get hurt all the time. Big ones, small ones. It's bad luck, not Abdullah's fault

You are such a troll

Ameer Abdullah seeking medical opinion, could return in 2016.
According to one report, Abdullah may return to the field this season.
PrideOfDetroit

RB Ameer Abdullah (IR, foot) will see Dr. Robert Anderson on Tues to see if he?ll start practicing. Active in 3 weeks is realistic.
A little more on Ameer: Visit to Dr Anderson is Tuesday, should have an updated timetable then. Lions can use that to facilitate IR decision.
Still, this story has more legs and, if true, would be a huge boost for the Lions.
Granted, Abdullah only played in 1.5 games?and that full game was against a horrible Colts defense?but he provided the Lions running game with a spark that hasn?t been seen since his injury. His 5.6 yards per carry this season is a full yard and a half more than any rusher on the team not named Matthew Stafford.
If the Lions could get him back down the tough stretch of their schedule, it would be a huge boost to their playoff chances.

I hope they don't rush him back. A reoccurring foot injury for a running back sounds like a nightmare.
