Lions=Seattle D

Slay: They have a pass rush we have a pass rush, they have DBs we have DBs, they have backers we have backers.

Reporter: So you mean that literally like you literally have the same football positions.

Slay: Yeah there ain't much difference.

Reporter: So in theory we could compare your defense to say the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Slay: They have a pass rush we have a pass rush, they have DBs we have DBs, they have backers we have backers.

Reporter: O.....K. Thanks.

Slay and I are on the same page. Lions defense in 2014 was better than Seattle's. More turnovers and sacks and pressure. Seattle played weaker offenses to win the PPG and were healthier.

And the Lions upgraded their 2015 defense with MLB, SAM, nickel and year 2 of system upgrades. Still very good DTs and DEs.

Seattle lost their DC and Maxwell.

Lions 2015 defense> Seattle 2015 defense.

You certainly have a similar mental capacity. I mean you have a brain, he has a brain. You just have 1/100th of his earning salary with your job counting burlap sacks. See that is how we judge if one thing equals another, we take into account all the different facets. Your welcome.

I make just as much as Slay's base salary.

In past years, the success of the Seattle defense was cited as to a strong reason for Russell Wilson success, per your comments. How come the success of the Detroit defense, as you penned, did not correlate into Stafford success?

Seattle 2013 had 39 turnovers. Detroit 2014 had 27

Oline injuries for Detroit and Calvin/Bush injuries.

Lions still won 11. There was success for Stafford.

Run support with Lynch. And Wilson can run too (not sustainable). Wilson wasn't that successful throwing the ball. Just had short fields and didn't have to throw too much. Everyone focused on stopping the run.

Hey I predicted 1,000 things that would happen..all positive..one almost* came true. Ha Ha Ha I'm smart

*Almost..because the prediction was better than Seattle. Which we were not.

11-5 I called that, top defense in 2014. These were the most important predictions of 2014.

I was the only one right about the 2014 Lion on here. And I'll be right about the 2015 Lions.

2012/2013 not assessable due to major concentrated injuries to weapons and secondary.

I called 2011 Lions too.

the prediction was just as good. And we were better. Turnovers, sacks, pass rush was better. Run D was better. Seattle had better coverage but Lions were 9th best.

Lions 2015 will have a good defense again. And a top 10 offense.

Lions D performed like Seattles D in 2014. I called it. I'm the one laughing at you all.

Then an offense featuring the likes of Wilson, doug Baldwin and kearse outperformed Stafford, Calvin and tate. Ya, that makes sense.

Wilson had 2 less passing TDs than Stafford did. Only 452 attempts.

Seattle has a good run game. 20 rushing TDs and Lynch hopped up on skittles. They could have 4 grandmas at WR with that run game and defense. They don't rely on Wilson to throw it. Lions offense is Stafford slinging it. And considering the down and distance from the run game sucking, bad proteciton no number 3 or 4 weapon, Calvin out 5 and penatlies, Stafford did a great job.

Lions have a more complete and better offense. And Lions play better defense. 11 wins for Stafford.

Seattle can't pass protect healthy. Detroit can when healthy. Wilson can run. That is not sustainable. He'll get RG3ed soon. Someone will take his head off or take out his knee.

But let us not forget that Ngata is as good as Suh :lmao:

Suh has two legs, Nagata has two legs.

How does Matt look good with this stat? That you throw many more passes and barely have more TD's?

Shows Stafford is the leader of the offense. And Wilson relies on run game and defense to move the ball. It makes Stafford look like a leader.
