Lions tied for worst record in NFC

Well thank G-d we have a FO who believes in drafting BPA over need. This way we can get our WR and RB problems addressed in the draft THIS year, unlike every prior year. Don't want to reach for someone.

Am I right? Hasn't that been the mantra that has lead us here?

How about BPA at positionS of greatest need for a change? As much as Fairley has improved of late, DT was not a position of great need at the time.

Now to give some benefit of the doubt and be fair, they did go after CBs pretty hard in middle rounds last year but unfortunately they have all been injured. Injuries are always tough to overcome when they consistently happen to same position. How many CBs have been injured this year?

Middle rounds though. Its almost an unwritten rule that if you want a good CB, they get drafted early, 1st and 2nd.

even the early round cbs take a few years to develop...if this team wants sudden change next year they'll need to sign some FA CBs and work on the DE and S positions in the draft. Milliner is the only highly praised CB comming out this year.....even if we picked him hes nt going to be the guy that comes in and changes us into a 10 win team again....hes just not that great of talent.

i read one media guy who said Milliner is the best CB talent to enter draft since Champ Bailey. personally i thought Patrick Peterson's skills were slightly better than Milliner going into draft, but maybe that's just me.

That's okay I think. We were a 10 win team with basically the same roster so the 4-11 I think is more of an anomaly. Plus, we need secondary help and we've not had much luck getting them to sign during FA.
