So I was thinking I might get NHL Center Ice so I can watch some Red Wing games and I wonder if this is the wrong year to do it.. Are they going to be really bad?

Make sure you don't get stuck in a local blackout. Gotta protect Fox Sports Detroit.
The Wings are going to be pretty bad. Things are going to get worse. Following season Green is gone, and Mantha/Larkin need to be re-signed.
Keep in mind Detroit weren't exactly good last season.
Only worthwhile acquisition in offseason was Trevor Daley.
AA still not signed.
Z is still aging with nobody picking up the scoring lost with Datsyuk.
Larkin has loads to improve as a center (if he isn't moved to Wing)
Nyquist seems to have bottomed out.
Mantha has potential to improve.
Tatar had surgery to repair a chronic shoulder injury.
Sheahan will be tradebait as he is making too much money and not producing.
Don't expect Abdelkader to produce.
Glendening is your defensive specialist who doesn't exactly produce offensively.
Helm is defensive specialist on his decline.
Nielsen's numbers aren't going to increase. He is in his mid 30s with another 4 years left on his deal with a no trade clause.
There is room for a young forward to comeup and play. But knowing Holland's MO he will sign an aging veteran instead.
Kronwall has bad knees which generally don't improve with age. Has been a liability in the limited games he played last season.
Ericsson is a rubbish D-man and playing too much. He is screening his goalies and deflecting too many pucks into his own net.
Green can produce offensively, but still has problems turning puck over defensively.
DeKeyser was another turnover machine.
Jensen was only promising D-man
Witkowski is more likely to play 4th line winger.
Sproul/Oullette were dissapointing in their extended stints last season.
Howard's numbers from last season are unsustainable.
Mrazek has chance to bounceback.
Team is still not cap compliant. So someone has to move. Good news is powerplay might improve if they go with a different fucking strategy instead of using the same fucking setup that wasn't fucking working the entire fucking season! Because if its broken, don't fix it.
In other words, the coaching staff as proven to be inept and will not be moved anytime soon.
Things are bad and are only going to get worse in the next coming years as the players on long bloated contracts have no move clauses. Combine that with pay raises for the next batch of good players.
Got a buddy who watches on ps4, it pretty much is same thing as watching o online. All depends on your network connection.
