Look Forward 2016

How can you step up if you don't get a chance to play much? The last few weeks would have been a perfect time to see if he actually has talent.

Any normal coach, once eliminated, is going to play the younger guys and get a look at them for next year. For Caldwell, there was no next year. He had to win this year to get a next year.

He didn't care about the young guys.

If I was the new GM I would bring this up and say "WTF, you're fired." It always amazes me when I see the WR, down to the 20 in this pic, and yet we have 2 players who haven't budged near mid-field.

i

If you were asked to describe the game of football to someone who had never seen it before, how would you do it?

I am betting it would start something like "Two teams of 11 men...."

The number of times we have seen 10 men on the field this season is what really concerns me. The fact that Caldwell doesn't seem capable of working with his coaches to get 11 men on the field concerns me.

It's the most basic part of football.

I have a feeling Caldwell told those two players "don't move from your spot, regardless what happens." If not they are the dumbest two players I've seen.

And there is no time on the clock why play near the sideline. Just one fk'd up play.

Its a defense to defend exactly what he said....he thought they were going to run a lateral play. Which is the most idiotic thing I ever heard.

And when the lateral wasn't happening, mutt and jeff continued to stick near midfield?

THIS!!!!

RIGHT HERE!!!!!

You are dead on.....I said this to MANY of my friends who are fans. There was no time on the clock. NONE. Untimed final play. Even if you think they're going to lateral.....that is always done starting with a 10-15 yard route to THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD followed by laterals to whoever is open......why in the FUCK would you play those two defenders on the sidelines????

WHY??

That's the defense you run when a team has 10 seconds, no timeouts and needs 20 yards to get into field goal range.....THEN you guard the sidelines.

AND.....once ALL WR head down to the end zone......why would you STILL have them guarding the sidelines???

WHY????

One of the single worst calls I have ever seen. I have NO idea who drew it up......but the fact that Caldwell seemed to know the call and agree with it is beyond stupid.

Typing this pissed me off, AGAIN.

Few Thoughts

- Acquiring a LT (moving Reiff to RT) is a must.
- Swanson or Ramirez at Center?
- If CJ is gone, we will need to grab a WR probably in 1st Round. Which means what do we do with that LT opening? What compensation do we get for CJ?
- Ngata should be brought back (at worst he can be a run stuffer)
- Jason Jones maybe, but he would have to know that his PT will lower with Taylor.
- Whitehead and Qudus should be brought back.
- Tulloch cut, can we throw away Pettigrew yet?
- Walker could be brought back. Has to be cheap, he only hurt himself this year. Would still like to add another DT.
- Need the other starting CB.

- I think Rieff has played just fine at LT, aside from the first half of this season when the entire line was a swinging gate. I think Ola played very well at RT, and I'm fine going into 2016 with him.
- Swanson. He needs time. He won't get better on the bench, and until the injury, he was beginning to find his groove.
- If we cut CJ, we get nothing in compensation.
- Ngata should be brought back if the money is right. He would have to take one HELL of a pay cut to make that work.
- Jones should be replaced by Taylor or a solid draft pick.
- Whitehead and Quddus I hope to see back. They played very well for us.
- Tulloch is gone. I think we're allowed to shoot Droptimus Prime now.
- Walker did nothing to impress me in the time he had.. at all. Reid/Wright are more ready than he is. Need a solid DT in the draft who can start.
- Every team in the league needs another CB. This won't be the year we get a starter, because we won't draft one that early. Improve the secondary by building the D-Line, and make the QB throw before he's ready. Speed up his internal clock, and it won't mater who we have in the secondary.

Why would we just cut CJ? Seems more logical to get something for him. And I thought Ngata only made like 8 million this year? Can't imagine he would make more, probably less like 6.8-7million. That would push him outside of the top ten DTs cap hit wise next year. Fine with me.

Walker only played 178 snaps this year lol. I will not judge a guy off of that.

Base he made $8. He was paid a total of $16M with deferments in moving his money around. Baltimore was in the same position with him we were with Suh the year before, but they chose to move him and get something. His agent has asked for $14M in an extension.

I don't think we're trading Calvin. His salary is too deep for any team. If he's not here, it's because he was cut.

All I know is Walker's snaps, all 178, were pretty forgettable.

If you ever want Stafford to be consistent you have to move Reiff from LT. Fine isn't good enough for happy feet. We have the pro bowl MVP when the game is played where no one rushes the quarterback.

Statistically, he did have a great 2nd half... He is now golfing.

Statistically he played Chicago twice, SF, ST. Louis, Oak., and NO.

I'm pretty sure we weren't the ONLY team who played weak teams. I don't hear anyone saying Minny's record or Green Bay's record was propped up or inflated.

Every team in football plays weak teams too. We won 7. End of story. We were damned good against those 7. End of story.

Every time someone argues that we can't count the "should have" won games like Seattle, because the final score is the final score, it seems they are also the people to argue "we played crappy teams".. like no one else that won games beat those same crappy teams.

Seattle too. They played some weak ass teams in the second half. But we're not allowed to mention that lol
