No doubt. He constantly messes up players names and simple words when he's doing interviews. Not sure why anyone would think he'd intentionally call them thugs. This isn't Bobby Knight.

Oh I think he meant it, but I think he was just frustrated... I don't think he was trying to be racist or nasty like that.

He made it worse (for himself) by not owning it.

I think he should probably just retire at this point. Going to work for a dipshit like Dan Gilbert was a mistake and showed poor judgment on his part. Wonder how sharp he still is at 67.
