M Football ?Ranked? 4th by Vegas

Michigan is bet pretty heavily all of the time ...it's just odds in order to get folks to wager.

I was just in Walgreens and noticed Lindy's College Football preview has us 5th; highest ranked Big Ten team.

They seem to think Gattis is the man for the job, even though they expressed concern that he has never actually done the job before.

Also, they called Ed Warriner, Dave Warriner, which isn't even close. I could see if they called him "Ned," "Ted," "Fred," "Jed," "Red," or "Zed," but Dave? WTF?

Like our NSA Michael Bolton..?

Auburn winning national football championship in 2012: 1,000-1 (They lost 34-31 to FSU), but I bet some of the 14 who took that bet hedged.

Cardinals' odds of winning 2011 WS with 15 games to play in the regular season: 999-1

Twins' WSC odds in 1987: 500-1

Did UM have a probability and statistics requirement when you attended?

I had just read a couple years ago that Michigan is among the more heavily bet programs in general. So are the Raiders and Steelers and Buckeyes. Prob something to do with the large, respective fan bases and national appeal.
