M Football ?Ranked? 4th by Vegas

Auburn winning national football championship in 2012: 1,000-1 (They lost 34-31 to FSU), but I bet some of the 14 who took that bet hedged.

Cardinals' odds of winning 2011 WS with 15 games to play in the regular season: 999-1

Twins' WSC odds in 1987: 500-1

Those are great stories for those teams. We haven't even made it to Indy yet. Count me as very skeptical on national title chances.

You stated that he better beat OSU and that is all that matters. In other words, nothing else matters.

I'd like to think that every game matters.

It's obvious they will win games but losing to OSU again is a big deal. 10-2 doesn't change that.

This will be OSU's weakest team since JH has been at UM...and the game is in AA.

Since we got into the 2000s, we are 2-7 at home against them. We do not have a homefield advantage against OSU. If you have been to any of the OSU games, then you know how many OSU fans are in the stadium as well (you can probably notice on TV too). You see a ton of red all over the Big House.

They've had weak teams that came into Ann Arbor and won before, starting with Tressel's 1st squad in 2001. 2007 they weren't great either, but Manningham and Arrington suddenly caught a case of the dropsies... it's insane.

2005 they were a better team, but we still blew it late.

2017 should've been a win, but that whole season was sandbagged by the Drevno-Hamilton incompetence. even on the road though, 2004, 2012, 2016, 2018... I think we were the better team as well, but what are you going to do?

It shouldn't really matter... i mean Harbaugh upset USC AT HOME with his 1st year Stanford team... a squad with little talent to speak of. So unless you believe there's a greater talent disparity here than there, this shouldn't be an issue.

But...

If OSU is "dominating" this series with all sorts of off-the-field under-handed tactics (stacking the offciating crew, cutting deals to hire away coaches after the season, maybe even worse stuff, etc) and getting away with it because the league itself is corrupt as hell and won't police it's members why care about this game? why bitch about our coaching when it just doesn't matter?

On the other hand, If we're really just not in their league anymore because they're recruiting Greek gods or something compared to our mere mortals, we shouldn't care if we lose.

Either way... fuck it. Like I said, the sport is thoroughly corrupted and more akin to pro wrestling now than anything else.

meyer was like 92-6-1 at osu. I was at the Gardner broken foot game and many of the recent home/Thanksgiving games vs osu. it sucks but fuck it ....to paraphrase Al in
Scent of a Woman ......our integrity is INTACT!!

Ideally the offense should come together with another year of Patterson and good group of weapons.

Itll be interesting to see the starting front 7 on the D. Alot of turnover, transfers etc.
