Magglio Out for rest of Post Season.

Brennan has actually started to swing the bat off a tee in the cage to test out the ligament over the last week. Currently the notion is Leyland will either activate Young or Boesch more then likely nothing more then just primarily PH duties.

When it rains it pours.... Literally!!! Damn it....

Thanks you Magglio for your great carrer as a Tiger.... The rest of the guys need to step up..

It's Kelly Time!!!!!!!!!

Kelly, Kelly, kelly.............................................Kelly.

Kelly...

Unleash the TIMO!!!!!!!!

OH wait no wonder he hit over .300 in the minors.... He was juicing...

Agreed, Bob. Probably the last we've seen of Maggs as a Tiger and possibly as an MLB player. For as much shit as he's gotten, he's had a hell of a run for us and I'm definitely gonna miss him.

Ty it may be a struggle but if they all man up it could still go very very well.
Please tell Willie and Al that we will always need them, just not in this way.

They are now Tigers. Tigers go and hit, even for other teams ( Dodgers 88). It's all good! Gibby aint busy....

Well, the big bats have no choice but to wake up now.

IMO, you have to play Dirks against right handers, and Raburn against lefties.

Kelly has to go full time, and hope Ajax or nobody else in the OF goes down.

Can Worth play OF? Inge?

Kelly blows against LHP. Unless they have a RHP starting, just PH him.

Not a bad idea, in my opinion.

What about Chet Lemon?

What about Jack Morris?

What about Mickey Lolich?

If we leave Denny McLain off the roster - I would completely understand that.

But who plays then?

You have 4 outfielders, Ajax and Raburn are (R) and Kelly and Dirks are (L)

One of the Lefties is going to play full time either way, and Kelly has the hot bat.

And the only callup option off the 40 man roster is Clete Thomas, also a lefty.

Well Kelly is like .195 against LHP so which one bats better against LHP?

Delmon needs to get injections of life-shortening pain-killers. The only option.

Gotta love Alex.... A straight shooter... No excuses... Even for him... I like it...thanks for posting it...

with his ankle broken again, i think his career might be over. he never fully recovered from last year's fracture and its the same ankle again. i expect him to retire this offseason.

thanks for the memories, maggs.

Nothing against Maggs , but it "might" have been better if his ankle got broken again prior to the trade deadline, although the Tigers might have picked up someone else instead of Young earlier, and then never got him from the Twinks, since his deal went down with just minutes to spare, apparently. Maybe that would have changed the outcome in the Central of the regular season, although I very much doubt it would have other than maybe a few games more or less.

DY was traded after the July 31 trade deadline. Mid August.
