Still, he's not only not great at math, Bernie Sanders struggles w/ basic math. You need a majority to pass legislation and 48 isn't a majority.
Well, I think Bernie?s fallacy here is more logical than it is mathematical ? he?s not counting the Republicans.
When you take the Republicans out of the equation, Bernie?s absolutely right, support is overwhelming, 49-2, almost 95%.
In this situation however a simple majority of Democrats doesn?t cut it. Neither is what might be called a ?super majority? of 60%, nor a 70% majority nor an 80% majority nor a 90% majority nor a 95% majority nor even a 99% majority.
In this situation, it takes a 100% majority of Democrats to get the job done.
Nevertheless, it?s still Mitch McConnell?s fault somehow.
