And yes the mythical 5,000 has lost its shine but still is nothing to sneeze at. Its the sign of a legitimately great year but not all time great like it used to be.

On the other hand Faulk's job is to get people talking so you take a legitimate point and exaggerate it 20% that is the life of a TV talking head. It obviously worked in this case.

Hope he invited manning cause a back that never rushed for over 1400 yards shouldn't be popping off. Yea he had those years over 2k all purpose but when you have 2 hall of famers throwing the ball you better get over 2k in total yards.

Seeing these announcers like Faulk, Skip Bayless, the tight end "heath" asshole and Jon Barry should sit down with the over the top contrarian responses. It just looks childish now. He has a great point. If they created new rules that benifit the running game and 5 players rushed for or near 2000 yards last year with 2 breaking the old record I would feel the same way about that accomplishment.
