I just hope if something happens its just a one for one

Highly unlikely to be honest since the Tigers really don't have someone that matches up with the Braves needs for Prado other then maybe Jhonny Peralta and I don't see that happening at all.

Of his 5 full seasons, only one has been above average. Yet. everyone wants to point to that 1 season. Why?

In 2000, Darin Erstad, at 26, hits .355 BAVG 25 HR 100 RBIs. In 14 seasons, he never exceeded any of those totals. EA lot on the old ESPN board wanted DET to get him so badly. Again, why?

Careful of "fluke" seasons. They get people in trouble. Inge has had two in his career.

His career BAVG is just about .300 isnt it? The guy has power and a decent BAVG over his career. I think Detroit is a good place for him to bring some numbers back up. Our lineup offers pretty good protection. I guess I am just an optimist with Young for some reason.

EX-DET Player at age 26-27 (Career....fluke season)

.301 BAVG .320 OBP .459 SLG .779 OPS 19 HR 82 RBI

EX-DET player at age 27 (Career....fluke season)

.302 BAVG .318 OBP .449 SLG .767 OPS 10 HR 82 RBI

Meet 2002 Randall Simon and 2000 Deivi Cruz. The similarities with Young are striking.

Or maybe, we should sign a FA SS coming off a career numbers

.332 BAVG .390 OBP .470 SLG .860 OPS

Meet Edgar Renteria.

Raburn is better than Young. Makes more sense.

If we can get Prado for Rayburn then maybe we can trade Inge after all. Young has way more upside than Rayburn. He is 25, rayburn is 30. By the time we find out if Rayburn can put a full season together he will be over the hill.

Young has more upside because he is younger? He has feet of clay, hands of stone a noodle arm and the plate discipline of the Three Stooges at a formal dinner. And he can play one position poorly. Forgot about that asset.

Raburn has been coveted by several NL teams over the last couple years (most notably the Cardinals) as he is better suited for the NL with the ability to play several positions, decent power and a relative cheap price tag.

Looking over the comment about Raburn today I just for the love of god hope he is moved for Prado because I think the ship has sailed for him at 2B after this last season.

"Looking ahead to 2012, the Tigers want to get Ryan Raburn's bat in the lineup and may play him at second base at times next year. Danny Worth is another second base candidate for the Tigers, who are also weighing external options."

Apparently Cabrera is pushing to get Prado here from what I've been reading in multiple places on Twitter.

BTW, if they aren't up for a straight swap of Young and Prado, let's throw in a BP arm or something else minor to sweeten the deal and get this thing done.

i think its more that atlanta probably doesnt want him at all. really at this point, besides DD, who would?

edit: wooo, 1000 posts. can i be a Time Lord instead?

Looking more and more likely its Raburn and Suarez for Prado. That is unless Colorado comes in with a better option then what they are offering.

I believe the only 1 for 1 trade out there between the 2 teams right now would be Jackson for Prado straight up. That seems to be the other option the 2 clubs have discussed.
