Could be 38 PPG like Peyton.

Houston/Slay/Green make CB lower than WR. Durham is a very low reason for all those PPG and first downs.

Yeah because he compares well to Peyton. :hehe:

We can get a solid wr after round 1, an attempt to solidify this defense needs to be made in this draft. If not corner, maybe a safety like Hughes said. Delmas is a liability out there, and is ALWAYS late.

Always late or you just remember the few times he is late?

Well that's your poor assessment. I'll take that into consideration.

And it's your poor assessment that the Lions should take a WR in round 1 with still alot of holes to fill. Defense comes first imo.

WR is our biggest need. Maybe TE if we don't re-sign Pettigrew.

Durham plays almost all the games. Broyles is perma hurt and Burleson is very old. It's obvious.

Eventually you'll hit. See Calvin Johnson.

Ebron fills the TE need and would be good value if were picking around 15-20. I still think this team has a lot of holes.....BPA at position of need will be the way to go so id hope for cb, s, wr, te. If were strictly forced into a BPA mayhew pick then it will probably end up being a Dlineman...1st round is littered with dline talent. C will be a need eventually but the value will be there in rds 2 or 3.

Analysis: Ebron has a chance to be a star. I'm not saying he's Jimmy Graham, but Ebron does possess a lot of the same qualities as the Saints TE. And to me Ebron's the only guy on that level in this draft class. He is a mismatch for defenses because of his ability to stretch the field with his speed and then box out defenders and adjust to the ball in the air with his excellent body control. He will fit best as an "F" tight end early in his career, but has the size potential (he added nearly 20 pounds this past offseason) to develop into an adequate in-line blocker down the road. Also, this pick would make a lot of sense for the Packers considering the uncertainty surrounding Jermichael Finley's future with the team.

Fauria is a stud, no TE needed. If the Lions want to move on from Pettigrew that's fine because they already have a guy to replace his role as a blocking Te in Williams.

I think we need to go with BPA approach out of WR, TE, DE, and CB.

All those positions are of equal need in my mind. If WR is the highest rated player on your board you take them. The idea you can get one as good in later rounds is a joke. A 1st rounder is a 1st rounder for a reason. Same reason a 4th rounder is a 4th rounder.

Regardless of who we pick, we need Stafford to improve this offseason. If he continues to play at his current level we are going to be in trouble regardless. You can't take points off the board by overthrowing people or giving the ball away.

I think depending on where we are picking and how the combine shakes out we could find a day 1 upgrade at multiple positions. I think CB is a need but struggle seeing them take one in the first with Slay having just been drafted last year. But a guy like Dennard is intriguing. I think his size, speed and instincts would go nicely with a pick between 10 and 20 depending of how he shows at the combine. Although I hedge my bets with him a little since overall spartans havent transitioned well to the NFL recently. Offense I like Ebron and Benjamin. We need a guy that can make plays and I am done with drafting 6'0 199 guys to be our "deep" threat. We have a guy that can make all the plays so go get a guy that can also make plays in the air and be a possession type. Benjamin does that as does Ebron who will be a mismatch nightmare with size and speed at the TE spot. I think the Ebron pick would also not mean "get rid" of Pettigrew. I still like his versatility and he has fixed the drop issue since early on. Ebron could easily play in the slot and with the three tes (Fauria) I think it would be mismatch galore. Dix at safety would be a nice pick too but not sure I see game breaker in him. Might be a little overhyped due to playing where does.

So back to his 2013 level first 9 games?

WR is our biggest need. Durham gets considerable playing time.
With Slay and Houston and Green and Mathis can come back cheap, CB is much lower than WR, TE and Center.

That being said BPA and if there is a stud CB>WR. Then take a CB in case Houston stays in his funk and Slay never develops.

FA WRS by the way. The draft is a much cheaper way to get a good WR.

what planet are u from? CB is our biggest need by far. and a 3rd LB. 3 good LBs help the secondary out emensely
