Michigan Hockey update

Calderon with a hat trick last night I'm Pretty sure this team is young. At least I hope so. But other then last night I see the same issue as under Red other then last year's offense. We are fast and can fly with anyone but struggle on defense .

...Well it was a good bounce back after the Suckeyyes swept us at home 10 days ago. We really need the sweep before declaring we are any better the msu Tv. We have been kinda down to. But I hear you on may hockey. We have down. They are way down ... Figures ND would run away with the regular season in the first year they are in the conference. Frustrating. .

Msu bounces back in east lansing and blast Michigan 5-0.. sad fact is probably neither team makes the ncaa unless they win btt.

Michigan hockey has only been a tad better then msu the last 5 years. Yeah we had that nice semifinal team that could score but could not play defense but neither msu or Michigan has won the big ten since the switch from the ccha. The Gophers have won all 4 regular season titles and ND looks like they will run away with it this year. Least Michigan has 1 btt win I guess.

At the Great Lakes invatational last weekend Michigan lost to Bowling Green 6-4, and beat msu 6-4. Michigan trailed msu 2-0 after the first period .Record is 8-8-2, and 3-5-2 in conference. Home on home with Top team in the conference Norte Dame starts tonight in Ann Arbor.

Good defensive effort but lost 2-1 to ND tonight in Ann Arbor.
 
Lost at ND 2-1... team is frustrating . When they play defense they don't score when they score they don't play defense. Now 3-7-2 in conference .
 
Sweep Minnesota tonight in Minneapolis 3-1. Improve to 10-10-2 , and 5-7-2 in Conference.

Holy crap this weekends sweep at Minnesota has brought us back to .500 over all and tied for 15th in the pair wise rankings that determine ncaa. This is a really down year in ncaa hockey . If we can get close to 18-20 wins we may make the ncaa . Oh those two one goal losses to ND .Both 2-1 scores.

Beat psu tonight 4-0. Improve to 6-7-2 in conference and
11-10-2 overall. Third win in row . Teams play again Saturday .

Sweep psu tonight at home 3-2.. Game got crazy last two minutes as psu with extra attacker scored 2 goals in the last two minutes. Team is now 7-7-2 in conference, and 12-10-2 overall. Four wins in a row and two games at osu next weekend .

The rankings . We really need to go 5-1 verses badgers, Spartans , and Asu, and hopefully 2-2 verses ND and osu. I think 7-3 would keep us in the top 16th
