Michigan wide receivers are healthy and good to go!!

Just read that myself. Excellent news!

Now, the grand old question... Will we truly get to see them in a modern offense? I really, really hope that JH is authentic with him letting go of the playcalling.

Any word on Oliver Martin ? That source we hate says he may be transferring:/

I haven't heard anything about Oliver Martin

I did hear that Michigan football is at the magic number of 85 scholarships

Dubbs, why did you link us to some Iowa gear?

btw, we need to not use "JH" anymore at all

Jim Harbaugh

Juwan Howard

too many JH's

LOL sorry.

That was a link that said basically it was a stupid twitter rumor about Martin leaving.

I clicked on that, but didn't see anything Martin, just Iowa gear

LOL

Even IF Martin left, which I haven't heard anything about; PJ, Black, and Collins with everyone else is an impressive amount of talent at WR

I'd rather see a post-modern offense.

Have you heard we have a new OC? There?s a bunch of articles about it.

I have read hundreds of articles since Harbaugh took over hearing about how great things are going to be.

Honestly, I'll believe it when I see it.

So far it appears Harbaugh has really handed the keys over to Gattis. Hope that stays the case, but I'm still waiting to see it during games. I've heard enough offseason fluff over the past 15 years to not care about it at this point.

I do find it a tad bit hilarious how much they're hyping the "speed in space" offense. Like this is some sort of new concept football is just adopting.

That was Rod Richrigez's mantra.

Again, I just want to see it in the game. At this point in the tenure, I'm not sure how much I can trust what is happening in the off-season. He could very well panic in the middle of a game and go back into the whole smash-mouth crap that worked in the 80s.

We won't - we can't -beat the "semi-pro" teams: OSU, Alabama, Georgia, or Clemson. And maybe Oklahoma and Texas A&M if Jimbo and the TAMU money men get their act figured out. I've accepted this.

I've also accepted a couple other things:

1) that the NCAA is going to allow there to be semi-pro teams, without penalty or consequence, and so I shouldn't be surprised that a sport played on a "slanted field" tends to result in one outcome occurring repeatedly; and

2) with a couple exceptions, our coaching staff is more "mercenary" than "family" as it was under Bo, Mo, and Lloyd (but at least they are somewhat competent, unlike RR's or Hoke's staffs). And some of this "ethic" certainly rubs off on the players, so I've also considered that the coaches and players on the field don't represent the university as much as they represent their own bank accounts.

Both of these things are what they are, and I can not change them, but as a consequence, I'm not going to give much of a shit if we win or lose.

I'm going to see how this new approach to Michigan football fandom works out for me this season.

That was Rod Richrigez's mantra.

Yes, but at least we'll have an defense this time.

And also, unlike the RichRod years, the Nefarious Lloyd Carr isn't trying to bring down Michigan football anymore. We saw what he was capable of: he transformed from being a bumbling, incompetent "worst football coach ever," to being a master Machiavellian manipulator, capable of causing our program to lose games and recruits, all through spreading rumors and other tactics which no one could even discover or fathom.

Don't underestimate the latter...
