MLB Adds 2 Wild Card Spots

Adding the Wildcards will definitely make it easier for the top team to advance to the LCS. I think that's the point, you can't have the Yankees, Redsox, and Phillies not making it to at least the LCS. I don't like it.

I hate inter league play, but if they are going to expand that can we at least get rid of the stupid All Star game deciding home field for the WS. Maybe make it which team had the better inter league play record.

Personally, I can see the DH coming to the NL someday

Ty I hope you are right.. I am tired of seeing AL pitchers bat in the playoffs and world series.

I don't so much have a problem with AL pitchers batting, as I do with them losing sometimes the top bat in their lineup.

Let's face it, Interleague is advantage N.L., because they get to stay the same, or add a bat, while the A.L. either stays the same or loses a top bat.

Both leagues need to be the same, and since you cannot take the DH away, the N.L. has to adopt it.

How does adding wildcards help the top teams advance?

The more teams there are playing, the less the odds of winning become, as it is now the top team in each league has a 50% chance of making it to the LCS, adding teams would drop that %.

If you check out the post I had on page 1 it will clearly state even though your adding 1 more WC to each league it increases the chances to advance for the team that would then face that wildcard (1 game playoff) winner. Thus answering your question as to how the top team in each league would have a higher % to advance to the LCS.

Bad for baseball. How about we get rid of the season and just start the playoffs like the NBA and NHL. Bud Selig needs to go. Interleague play sucks, unbalanced schedules suck, More divisions and playoff teams suck. November baseball sucks, his juiced up baseball sucked. Ties in All star games suck. All star game winner gets home field advantage sucks. This guy needs to start protecting the integrity of the game and stop chasing every dollar that he can get his hands on. He is supposed to be in charge not the TV networks.

This is the most retarded idea baseball has had since implementing inter league play.

Wow...MLB really upset about Boston not making it this year. I guess this helps ensure NY/Bos makes the playoffs a bit more.
