1. Jonathan Jenkins DT Georgia
2. Marqise Lee WR USC
3. Kenjon Barner RB Oregon

The more DTs, rbs and wrs you have the more you win!

How many picks did we trade? I'll say at least 2014 1st for Barner in the 3rd.

I'd take Barner in a hearbeat.

Just because we've drafted RB high before doesn't mean we shouldn't in '13. Barner is what this offense needs.

Well that, and another OL or two.

I've come to the conclusion that no RB will succeed here.

thank you mitch....been saying it for years lol. And no....rushing well against JAX doesnt count so i dont wana hear it lol.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Leshoure says fuck you, and you guys are complete dumbasses. Please, stop posting on this board with your hate, you ruin the reputation of logical posters.

One game lets call him Barry.

One game lets call him Barry.

He was averaging 4 ypc on the season before today. Please, stop complaining about the run game when the only things keeping Detroit from 7-1 are special teams, turnovers, and penalties (and erratic play by Stafford if you wanna be thorough).

Yep, 4 YPC is big. It was less than that before today. What happened when 4.0 was considered crap. He's done more than I would have thought before the season started. But I still don't considered it earth shattering..

It was actually right at 4.0 before today, not less.

You forgot about Joique Bell he was a stud today too. Just not when it's first and goal from the one against the Bears.

Agreed. Fumbles against Chicago aside, the running game has not been the problem at all. Detroit hasn't lost 4 games because it can't hold a lead. In fact, they're always behind.

Please, no more complaining about the run game until thats actually one of the top 2 or 3 issues with this team, please? PLEASE!?

Easy, killer...lol

Kevin smith averaged 4 ypc a couple years ago.....thats how good that is. "establishing the run" cost us atleast 2 games this year because the offense had 0 consistency and it led to 0 points. Today was the only time i can remember the run game being effective and opening up other things.

Would you prefer they weren't able to run it against Jax??

Doesn't matter the opponent, it's still a good sign.

So they don't have rushing TDs, instead Staff throws TD. It's freakin' Jacksonville. We don't have the OL that can run consistent enough week after week.

Sorry, I'm just sick of hearing the same old complaints, especially now when our run game looks decent. 15th in ypa is fine, ahead of Houston, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Denver, and Green Bay. Who's in the top 5, you ask? San Fran, Buffalo, Washington, Minnesota, Tennessee....let me know when you want those offenses.

The problem with this offense so far, and why it hasn't lived up to last year's standards, is the passing game. Stafford misses open receivers, and when he hits them, they drop passes.

This run game is good enough to close out games, which is the most important aspect of the game Detroit needs it for. Unfortunately, they're always behind, it seems, so this was really the first time that theory could get tested.

Red zone offence before the jags was one of the worst, 3rd and short one of the worst. Oline gets no push, you could put the fridge back there. That is the major complaint.

my major complaint is other teams arent stupid enough to stop bracket coverage on Calvin just cause were running for 4 yds per carry. Its not opening up anything down field and the JAX game was the first time all year that a solid run game led to sustained drives and points on the board. Id rather see Broyles catch a 4 yd pass then try to make something happen than to see 30+ carries a game. As someone else stated when its a short yardage situation our run blocking oline is getting annihilated. Hey, if they continue to do what they did in JAX then im allowed to change my mind....but i wont be easily fooled because something good came of the run game once vs a shitty team.
