It had been years since I've watched it live. If someone tells me about a skit I might look it up on youtube. That's about it.

So the other night there was NOTHING else on.......wife and I decided to watch it. Micheal Keaton was host. Decent intro.......Keaton does the "I'm Batman" from Batman and "It's showtime" from Beetlejuice.

Good shit. I like Keaton.

The rest of the 30 or so minutes we could stomach were fucking TERRIBLE. I don't think i laughed once. That show has fallen so far it's become sad. SNL is Shaq's last 3 years. It's pathetic with VERY few flashes of it's former self.

It's not much different than it's ever been. It's a launching pad for comics, but often the skits they perform are just not funny.

Aykroyd was occasionally funny on the original cast, but it was rare. Belushi was funny as the Samurai, but the cheeseburger cheeseburger shit just wasn't all that good.

Same is true today. Will Ferrell was flat out stupid on SNL, Eddie Murphy was rarely funny,Andy Samberg hasn't found funny yet. Can anyone honestly say they've ever enjoyed an Adam Sandler skit on SNL?

Short of "in a van down by the river" was Chris Farley even memorable really?

But get those guys some exposure, let them move into movies and more tv, and they shine. It's a great vehicle for finding young comics, but not for judging their potential, because it's always kinda sucked.

I don't know much about Ifo, I just am anti tiny corners, so for that alone I wouldn't use a 3rd rounder on him. WRs are just getting too big.

He is a first round talent. I like taking first round guys with injury concerns in later rounds a la Shaun Rogers.
