Dear Mr Trump,

thank you for your concern.

A man has indeed attacked a soldier with two machetes this morning in Paris.

It wasn't in the Louvre Museum, it was in the Carrousel du Louvre, which is a mall. (Less symbolic than what you're implying.)

He didn't attack any tourist (or french people -apart from the soldier- either, by the way, thank you again for your concern) and he was instantly attacked back by another soldier, and wounded.

The crowd has been kept inside after that by order of the army for security reasons, but not for any kind of hostage situation. (Your tweet is -voluntarily?- ambiguous)

France is not on edge again, at all. I learnt about the attack 10 hours after it happened (even though it was in the media earlier), and I spent 1h30 in another mall in Paris at lunch today without any kind of military reinforcement (I mean, just the usual since Charlie Hebdo or nov 2015 attacks).

Oh and by the way, the man is from Egypt, you know, the country you didn't ban from entering the US (because of your personnal affairs?)

Again, thank you for your concern, but don't use France as an excuse for your arseholery. You're the one encouraging fear with your distortion of truth.

wasn't he trying to gain access to the louvre, the actual louvre, not a mall but refused because he wouldn't check his two bags - the bags containing the machetes? It's pretty clear his intention was to get inside and go on a machete rampage against the unarmed patrons but decided to attack the soldiers who wouldn't allow him to enter and in the process got himself seriously wounded. This was clearly a terrorist attack that was stopped. The fact that he wasn't able to carry out his attack as planned doesn't change that.

Come on, this is clear fear mongering. Yes, his intention was likely to enter the Louvre to injure and murder civilians. The problem is that Trump's tweet implies that he was able to follow through with it. While in reality the security measures that were in place controlled the situation before he could enter the Louvre and harm any civilians. And I'm not saying that you're spreading it, but the whole "well just don't take trump's tweets seriously/literally" line can eat a dick.

c'mon, this is clear overreacting to a tweet and reading into it what you want to read. The point isn't whether he was able to follow through with it or not, the point is that it happened and it's not an isolated incident. These attacks are happening pretty regularly in Europe, no matter how much the press downplays them.

It won't; and states and municipalities control their own schools vastly more so than the Federal Government does.

Tinsel, as someone who works in education and has at all levels, saying "don't sweat it" is misguided. If she does what she says and puts a new focus on these private and charter schools, lots of money will be going away from state funded schools to those private ones.

The bigger scare is that she had NO CLUE what the ADA was.
