I say Packers. It would be tough to have Aaron Rodgers and be sitting at 4-6-1.

It has to be the Packers fans. Lions fans are used to losing, so how could they be disappointed?

Good point. I honestly thought between 7-9 wins. We?ll struggle to get to 7, it seems.

I will have a lot of re-thinking to do if we don?t vastly improve next year.

i thought 7 wins was the cap for this team with this schedule and this defense. We more than likely end up with 5-6. Not too far off my expectations.

GB i thought would be fighting it out with Min for division champs.

I didnt see the Bears making that big of a leap. Remember when we bashed them back to back years for their shitty drafts?...eggs on us.

So when people say get rid of Stat Padford and replace him with who? The answer is ANYONE that makes 90 million less than him. Its what you have to do to rebuild this team the right way.

Stafford's contract isn't hurting a rebuild here.

Ansah hurt, Quin regression, Slay hurt, no run D prior to Snacks, Jarrad Davis inconsistent 1st round pick, Tabor sucking, Lawson going from average to beyond horrible (and spend decent money on him), Agnew injury. Spent money on Kennard and he's fine. Christian Jones was a bad decision to be the Will LB and spent some money on him. Sylvester Williams bad signing. Lions spent money that didn't pan out and the big guns (Ansah and Slay) got hurt or regressed (Quin, Slay some). Plus Pasqualoni as the coordinator was a poor choice. This has nothing to do with Stafford's contract. Quin had the money and the draft picks and messed it up. Davis, Snacks and healthy Slay can save him. But will need more at DE and safety and CB2 and nickel CB in next draft.

Offense had all the talent in the world. But injuries hit at wrong time when playing like 4 stud defenses in five games. Can't lose Tate, Marvin Jones, Kerryon and Lang and expect to beat top 10 defenses easily. Plus Decker bad back against at Vikings helping for 10 sacks.

Will Grier is a projected 2nd round pick this year and will make like a couple million a year. He can make every throw Stafford does....Id argue with more accuracy on throws 15+ yards. Thats 2 or 3 starters worth of money you save or 1 high priced top tier FA say DE you dont have signed right now. How can you say thats not hurting a rebuild? I think the model is proven at this point...Mahomes, Goff, Wentz. Seahawks with Wilson on his rookie deal vs them now. COMPLETELY different team. Stafford has proven at this point in his career he cant elevate a team beyond what their talent level is the way Manning/Brees/Rodgers does. Therefor you either need him to make less money which is never going to happen...or you need someone in there that makes less so you can build a team. That has to happen in 2021.

Yep. Weather anyone blames Matt a little bit or a lot something has to be done. Maybe trading Matt, take on some salary, isn't the worst option. Philly goes from sheet to SB winners in a year, Rams from 4 wins to 10-1 in 2 years, KC went from a game manager to a more elite all around and winning with both. Even with the cap space we will have Matt's not the guy.

Quin had the money and draft picks and didn't get it done. This wasn't just a 2018 issue either. Failed Tabor and inconsistent Davis.

Lawson, Sly Williams, Christian Jones, Shead was wasting money. Tabor waste of a high pick.
Kennard the saving grace and he got over 6 per. Okwara was a nice find too. Hand a good draft pick. Robinson a good draft pick.

Ansah basically had to be franchised based on the market and 2018 draft prospect. Plus loving Ragnow.

Trade Matt you spend more in 2019 than his 2019 cap hit

30.5 million with a trade compared 29.5 without a trade

Lions wasted 17.5 million in cap space on Sly Williams, Tavon Wilson, Lawson re-sign, Shead signing (original deal), Luke Willson, Christian Jones deals for 2018

Plus over 17 for Ansah (hurt but a good player) and 4.3 for Kennard (solid player)

That plus Slay injury/regression and Quin regression.

Paul P as DC. Patricia should call defensive plays

17.5
6.1 for Richard Sherman (they tried)
2.4 for Morgan Burnett at SS
2 million for Nigel Bradham at Will
5.6 for Trey Burton

Same draft. Still probably screwed with Ansah and Slay injuries and Quin regression.

We got the cap to cover it plus maybe get a draft pick/player. How many years are we suppose to go status quo with this team? We have 2 young players, a WR who can be a deep threat who eventually will get double team because we have no one else. A RB who generally doesn't get a lot of runs because we're behind so much. And a coaching staff who seem set on a rotation.

Fuck Will Grier. Big 12 is full of fucking garbage defenses.
