Lions are 12th in league pass rush grade. Up significantly from 2020
You owe us an apology
Dts and interior defenders also do the dirty work so the edge defenders can get the majority of the pressures and LBs and safeties can blitz too. Most good defenses have an interior player that gets pressure. They are hoping Levi and McNeil get us there as they develop.
Heyward for Steelers, Campbell for the Ravens, Buckner with 49ers and now Colts, Clark for the Packers, Joseph with the Chargers, Tomlinson with the Vikings, Watt for Cardinals, Ed Oliver and Star for the Bills, Vea for the Bucs. Yeah DTs and interior defenders are important pieces to a defense. McNeil and Levi are rookies that need to grow too. Lions will find WRs, LBs and safeties this upcoming offseason while still having ability to take a QB in top 5.
Nice try. Rattle off a bunch of names and dont supply any stats. Theres 3 DTs in the top 17 in sacks right now.
Javon Hargrave PHI
Quinnen Williams NYJ
Aaron Donald LAR (Extra game)
Pass rush grade...care to define that?
We're 13th in team sacks which isnt terrible. But only 2 of the 9 total sacks have come from our dline (none from Levi or McNeil).
Not to mention its not helping our secondary as they are still the worse positional group on the planet because its not consistent pressure from anywhere. You need a stud pass rusher....we've needed a stud pass rusher since Robert Porcher. Another bonehead decision not to upgrade that spot by our GM.
