MSU @ Michigan

Have you ever seen a team down 30 start to press and trap?

Beilein is the only coach who does that, not sure why, the game is over, is he just trying to save a little face? Anyone who watched that game knows what happened, could have been a 40 point win if Izzo had wanted.

I posted it elsewhere, and I do think Beilien is a great coach, but Izzo is at the top of his game right now. The execution on offense is just impressive. UM fans are left complaining about Beilein's recruiting, but Izzo missed on several guys and the top 3 rated recruits for UM are Irvin #26, Chatman #29, and Walton #51. For MSu it's Davis #26, McQuaid #71, and Costello #90. Valentine wasn't even a top 100 recruit. Izzo gets his players to play a style that is tough to deal with.

they play that 4 guard basketball, live by it and die by it. you'll create some mismatches on offense and you can beat decent teams but you can't beat really good teams without size on the interior.

no way a good big man goes there, you're just setting screens all day for shooters. the only decent big man to go there was McGoofy and I don't think he had a great decision making process.

Yeah, Davis and Schilling showed a decent ability to guard 6-6, 210 lb Irvin and that made for a total mismatch on the glass and in the paint. UM actually started out rebounding well with us, it was 12-12 in rebounds at one point, then we out rebounded them 23-8 the rest of the way. They go small and then they have no athletic big men. The picture below tells the story of the game and that was the opening tip off. Davis is longer, more athletic, and just better than any big man they have and he's only playing in his 24th game.
