Dumbest all time scheduling. Supposed to be 107 degrees Saturday there. Will be close to 100 still at kickoff.

Cole Chewins is practicing, would be nice if he makes it back to the field at least as a back up.

Problem:
Justin Layne threw a punch at a USU player Friday and the NCAA is looking at it, he's probably going to be suspended for this Saturday. ASU has a first round pick WR who is 6-4 and runs a 4.5, really needed Layne to match up with him.

This is a tough game and we're about a TD favorite, not sure we should be though.

Hopefully Dantonio is willing to go to Heyward and keep him in there if Scott blows again. LJ was bad in every aspect of the game, particularly pass protection. If he misses 5 blocks a game, Lewerke will be done for the year before conference play starts.

Seems Layne will be playing, that's a big deal, he's got the size and speed to match up with ASU's stud WR.

Heat will be about 100 degrees at kickoff, but the heat index will actually probably be below 95. Still very hot, but it should be as hot on the field as it was for our game with Oregon the other year which was 110 degrees on the field because of the sun. I've walked around Vegas in 100 degree weather at night, it's not that bad. Stay hydrated throughout the day and it shouldn't be a huge factor.

Big game for us, have to improve or a loss will be a harbinger of a disappointing season to come. I have a feeling Chewins will play Saturday although he might not start.

Wonder how many spartan fans are actually staying up for this one..

As a side note: Harmon Barnett?s defensive at Florida State is getting torched by an FCS team

I really like the way Hayward runs. Scott has been alright tonight so far.

agreed. like i said before hopefully this doesn't turn out to be Dantonio's JJJ/Goins if Heyward establishes he's the better TB, which based on a limited body of work, seems to be the case.

who calls a QB sneak from 2 yards out and then goes for it from a full yard this early in the game? Put Heyward in and pound it out with him.

This defense....just throw it to the slot receiver every play and you?ll win by 50. So hard headed

Can't believe they gave up a 3rd and 20 but nice 4th down stop. Play action for a td right here.

Scott gets tackled inside the 5 more than anyone. Bad luck and makes us struggle to get td.

So far....looks like a totally different defense from last week.

These slow developing run plays inside the 10 need to stop. Aaaaaaaaaaaand it was picked. Red zone offense has been terrible two weeks in a row.

Can’t rely on the defense to pitch shutouts.

Dumbass Lewerke needs to throw it away. And bringing back to Scott getting tackled inside the 5.

Can?t run slow developing run plays inside the 5 EVERY TIME! It?s predictable and hasn?t worked at all this year.

I was talking about the screen play right before. Seems like he just had bad luck on a play like that. I agree with you on the slow developing plays.

Offense needs to get it going. Defense playing well just need to get more stops on 3rd down.
