He set the Pennsylvania state record last season with 52 TD passes. He can pass, has a good and accurate arm, led his team to an undefeated season and a Staate Title.

why the fuck is he not playing then? 12 points by the offense in 6 and a half quarters against western Michigan and USF is not good. He can't do any worse. At least he'd be able to create plays when everything breaks down on him.

Defense, is insanely good. The D line is especially dominating this game. Hoover and Reynolds are studs at DT, Calhoun is the most explosive DE we've had in a long while. LBs are great and DBs are full of NFL players.

I agree that the offense looks bad, but the biggest problem is the lack of talent. Who is a playmaker on this offense? Against bad defenses like USF, talent will destroy it, even with bad play calling. There should be no reason to only score 7 against this USF defense. I don't care if the play call is something simple like 21 dive every single play. You should be up 30+ on this team with the field position you've had. I'd say it's 90% on the offensive players and 10% on the coaches and OC, especially.

Just watched the game, about what I expected. Our passing game is going nowhere. The good thing is, besides the D dominating, the run game wasn't that bad. If we would have run the ball more, I think we would have won by another TD or even two. Still have problems with drops and QB's missing passes. I think the offensive play calling is vanilla, at best. If this is what we can expect from our OC, o'boy is all I can say. Do we even have a TE ?

At first I was for Terry getting some PT, then I was against it. Now, just put his ass in there. If we continue like this, we wont win 5 MAYBE 6 games. Does it really matter anymore. This Defense can't do everything every game, especially in B1G play.

Also, Shilique really is a freak. That guy is a STUD!!!.

Dantonio neglected the offense for too long. Poor offensive coaching and development across the board, this is a 4-5 win team. What a shame.

I think coach D needs to forget which coaches his friends are and hire guys that know what the fuck they are doing. He trusted coaches ( offensive ) to do a job, and they are not getting it done. QB coach- WR coach- Oline coach, all are sucking, and IMO, they did last year too. We bring in Bollman, who looks worse than roushar. You know, with Roushar, our offense looked like it had more options, different sets/plays, than we do this year. I can't believe it has gotten worse.

These coaches have talent to work with and they clearly aren't getting it done. Pretty soon, someone needs to be held accountable. It's fucking pathetic to watch one of the best defenses in the country suffer because the offense cant do shit.

I dont agree with this. You mean to tell me that Mcneese St, an FCS school, has more talent on offense than MSU ? I don't buy it. Mcneese St executed their offense. Their OC could see what SF wasn't doing on D and exploited it. Our OC uses about 3 plays, has a stick to draw them in the dirt, and tells the QB to run for his life if the first receiver isn't open. It truly is pathetic.

Burbridge, Arnett, Madaris are 4 star players. They have talent, just a sucky offensive coaching staff. We will continue to suck until a player, RB-QB can carry the offense on his back. That will be the only way I see us having a winning season.

I think people want him to start because he's the only one we haven't seen play poorly yet. The unknown is undefeated to most fans.

I just want the staff to settle on someone and have him work with the first team all week.

1 good scrimmage is better than anything we've seen from these other clowns. We don't need great qb play, just someone who can make a couple plays a game. Not the straight garbage we've seen for over a year from Maxwell and what we've seen from Cook and O'Connor so far doesn't look good. Not sure why you're so against it. This D is too good to not see what the kid has. Not like we run some insane offense that will overwhelm him. It's quite scaled back already for the stiffs that have been running it.

Boy do I miss Don Treadwell...I think Dantonio feels the same. As far as the statistics go, are we the worst passing team in FBS? That's one hell of an accomplishment. You have to try real hard to get to that point.

I almost left at halftime because it was flat out unwatchable, I stayed until we finally scored that offensive TD then left immediately so in case we choked I wouldn't have to watch it. Walking out of the game, it felt like we tied or something.

I have decided I flat out can't stand Maxwell any longer. I booed him and rightfully so, I don't care who you are, if you don't perform I will let you hear it. Cook is not much better but I feel like he has a better touch and does not force throws as much as Maxwell does. However, I would rather stick with Maxwell the whole game then use this carousel of QBs which makes our offense even more ineffective. Our ground game is freaking atrocious as well, the O-Line is laughably pathetic, I truly believe there are high schools with better offensive threats than us.

I'm glad I sold my ticket next week so I don't have to see this peewee offense get outscored by the defense against an FCS scrub.

easy there, the ground game isn't atrocious, we just didn't use it enough. we averaged 11 yards per carry in the first half, we could have just pounded the ball and scored TD's. I think the coaches were just concerned about the qb audition so we had to throw the ball. we're not going to be a good offensive football team, I am revising my prediction of 9 wins down to 7 (for now). we really just need to pick a qb and stick with him, get some continuity, control the football and lean on our defense. we need to be able to score on short fields and get better special teams play. if we could get our offense up to 6th or 7th best in the big ten i'd say we win 9 or 10 games
