MSU vs Nebraska

Cook is coming dangerously close to costing us this game. Just not on today at all.

Well I gotta say. 1 clutch throw will make you forget about all the bad ones!! Nice toss Cook!!

Big time throw after a bs penalty. He seems to make the throws when its on the line.

Excellent win on the road! Wasn't pretty but 9-1 looks damn nice.

9-1, 6-0. Right where we want to be.

The progress this offense has made, especially the receivers, has been remarkable. WRs are catching every tough ball and making plays. Cook can make the NFL throw. Made the plays to win the game.

We lost 5 games last year we feel we should have won, we're 60% of the way to redemption. NW and OSU to go.

Every game I see, I become more and more upset with Andrew Maxwell. The WRs have improved their drops, Cook takes care of the ball, and the run game works when there is an actual threat of passing. It's crazy how different the entire team has become thanks to removing Maxwell.

Maxwell could not have made half the throws that Cook made today. It's also a more catchable ball. What I think more catchable really means is on time, Cook hits his receivers on time more often. Maxwell also could not extend plays like Cook can, even if it's just for an instant, it's what gets guys open. And there is no doubt he sees the whole field a lot better than Maxwell. He was putting the ball into some tight spaces today, and he has a nice quick release.

We wasted a season on Maxwell, the kid really had a great arm and a great head on his shoulders, but he simply could never make the reads or the throws in games. If Cook would have been ready last year we would have won at least 10 games.

Jeremy Langford has more rushing TDs this year than Leveon Bell had last year. Langford has been everything we heard he'd been in practice for the last couple years. Really is a solid back, think he'll get better and better with more confidence. Should be a stud next season.

Back to back games now he's had those long runs at the end of the game for touchdowns to put a smile on Dantonios face. But seriously he's had 4 or 5 straight 100 yard games.

5 straight 100 yard games. 928 yards rushing for the season with 13 rushing TDs. You can see him getting better every game. He is just scratching his potential IMO. Could be a 1600+ guy next season.

The running game is better without Bell, the passing game is better too. We're scoring 31 points a game and have won our 6 B1G games by an average of 19.1 points. No one has kept it closer than 12 points.

The offense improves every week. If only they would have been further along at ND, we'd be 10-0 and in the top 5.

Great to be 9-1 but I have to say all the chest pounding is a bit much. Nebraska had 5 turnovers to our 0 and they were still in the game until we scored on a 5 minute drive late in the 4th quarter. I would hardly say the offense is really clicking. This game was won by field position.

this goes to show how far MSU football has come, we're bitching about a road win at nebraska by two td's.

we're nit picking 6-0 in conference with two winnable games to go.

we've come a long way

Love the spin. Who's bitching about a road win? How is pointing out the biggest story of the game "nit picking"? If you win the turnover battle 5-0 and can't put the opponent away by the middle of the 3rd quarter, your offense is not very good. There are definitely 3 and probably 5 SEC teams that would have won that game despite the turnover deficit. Our offense can only score on bad defenses.

I do agree with you that OSU is beatable as, thankfully, their major weakness is also their defense and their offense is good but hardly a juggernaut.

no spin, saying that we should have won by more or put the game away earlier is nit picking a two td win @ Nebraska.

discrediting our win by saying a bunch of SEC teams would have done better is nit picking.

we had a huge program win @ Nebraska and all but assured us a spot in the title game and we still find faults.

Again, pointing out the main story line of the game is not nit picking. Pointing out the fact that the SEC has at least 3 and probably 5 teams better than us is also not a "nit".

Nobody is denying that it was a big win but it's not hard to find these faults - it's probably more accurate to say that denying them is wilful ignorance.
