Holy crap are we a bad finishing team. Dawson is just unwatchable unless he's dunking.

I'm glad I have been playing trivia crack while watching so I haven't focused as much, this is depressing

Big 3 for Forbes

Jesus Trice! Make a ****ing free throw!!! You ****ing choker!!!

Another ugly win, an NCAA Tourney berth will be the ceiling for this team this season

Seem to be getting worse by the week. Izzo is really struggling to find a rotation. Seems like we have a ton of good role players, but no go to guys at all.

I was at the St John's/Marquette game at MSG which looks like it was basically the same bad game just with with different uniforms and beer. I guess I was wrong that we were about to put together a string of 3 wins by double digits - AND, we are one step closer to a B1G title. Its a little early yet sbee, but in case you're wondering I like my crow deep fried...

Not a very good team, will need to get better to make the tourney. Watching Illinois and Purdue right now and both of these team will give us trouble.

No B1G title. Statistically id guess we had a 5-10% chance at the beginning of the season. Id guess 2-3 % now. We blew a few games we shouldnt have but fact is we are exactly where I thought we would be record wise right now. Make the tourney, Kentucky not win the NC and im satisfied with this season. We just need more talent out there plain and simple.

That becomes apparent when they struggle with NW and PSU, at home... :hmm:

Deyonta Davis and Eron Harris are bringing in a nice spike in talent next year. Harris is a phenomenol athlete and will be our best player right away having already averaged over 17 a game at West Vitginia. A few other nice players coming in too and still a good shit an Swannigan. Really think Gavin Schilling will be a good big man by next season too. PG worries me.

"but no go to guys at all."

I said that exact thing on here 5 games into the season.

Thats where Harris would have come in. He would have made a 2-3 game difference in win/loss win column. I knew we were in for big trouble when he peaced out.

Really hoping for Swanigan! Not a bad game by Schilling tonight, maybe he caught wind of my light trash talk about him on here. I havent been a big fan. He needs to be a Naymick type player where he doesnt make many mistakes, plays lock down D and convert on the few attempts he takes. He just doesnt have much offensive ability as of now. You cant have poor recruiting lag years in this sport or any really. Im encouraged about next years class. We need Swanigan in GREEN, I dont know the inside on him but Kentucky is in the mix (cheating bastards). He seems like a long shot.

Went to the game last night, starting tobg get frustrated with this team, I'd expect them to play a little better and blow PSU out. I know we shot better on the second half but in the first it looked like we missed easy shots and they missed tough shots. I love Dawson's defense on newbill late when Denzel was on foul trouble but Dawson is just a freak athlete but not a basketball player. He's had so many games where he just doesn't finish it's more than an anomaly.

One plus this year has been the play of Costello and schilling, nice contributions from both

I happen to think Schilling is going to be a star, he's the age if most try freshmen right now as he just turned 19 a few months ago. I think that's why we've seen such a growth in his athleticism, he still growing. I could see him averaging 13 and 8 next season, he has NBA potential IMO.

PG is where we lack anyone next season.

Kyle Ahrens is an exciting two guard we have coming in a freak athlete for a white kid who can hit his head on the rim at 6-5. Also have a goo shooter coming in.

We supposedly lead for Swannigan, he'll make his decision in a couple months, my guess would be Duke.

I'm writing Swanigan off. We've seen this movie too many times - be a kids top choice for a year then watch him get more and more attention from dook, kentucky and ku and poof, he's gone. Might as well forget about him and if he ends up choosing MSU, then it will be a pleasant surprise rather than being let down and left wondering how much kentucky or ku offered him.

And I actually think that we have to worry about Davis now that he's a 5 star kid - I wouldn't be surprised if Calipari suddenly starts showing some interest. He could be another Tyler Ulis - man did we miss out there. That kid will be a rare 4 year player at Kentucky and he's already proven to be their best point guard.

One plus regarding Kentucky is that have such a glut on their frontline right now. Cauley-Stein, Johnson, Lyles, Towns, Poythress (when healthy), Lee. Surely many of those guys will be in the NBA next year, but probably not all. I'm not sure who else they already have coming in too.

Davis has already signed his LOI. And Swannigan and Davis are good friends and have talked a lot about playing together in college.

Davis is having a monster senior season so far, averaging 18 pts, 16 boards and 8.5 blocks a game. He grew over an inch and now is a legit 6-9+ player. We've never had a player like him under Izzo, he's the best shot blocker I have seen at the high school level since Alonzo Mourning. And he has wide shoulders too, reminds me of Anthony Davis in body type. Musgeon has a couple really good scorers on their team who will play DI in college, but Davis has a real nice jump shot and can play with his back to the basket. If he were on another team he has the offensive game to average 30 points a game. He tore up the toughest AAU league in the country last summer and was on the same team with Swannigan. He is now a top 20 player, but a lot of people think he is a top 5 talent.

Looks like Rivals is a bit behind the game - they still have Davis listed as a solid verbal (#23 overall)...
