I would be thrilled if the Lions threw some dice and came up with some solid gambles....

#1 - Terrance Knighton. Rumor has it teams are afraid to sign Pot Roast because he's out of shape. He could lose millions. Sign him to a 2 year, $6MM contract and get him in shape. He'd be a steal.

#2 - Dewayne Bowe. He's probably looking at a minimum deal given he failed to score least season. Take the flyer on him.

#3 - Trent Richardson. Yes, I heard the grumble all the way from here, and I am serious. The kid has talent. I don't know what went wrong in Indy but let him clear waivers, sign him to a minimum deal, and put him behind Bell and Riddick. Make him earn his playing time. I promise you, whatever free agent we sign as a third back won't have half his potention, and will cost us more... take the risk.

#4 - Paul Fanaika. Yep, I know people are looking at Blalock, but I prefer the offensive line to remain under 30 years a man. Paul Fanaika is only 26 years old, and he's been good when he's played, with room to mature and develop. He's "expected" to sign a 3 year deal with K.C., but nothing is official until the contract is signed. Make the call.

#5 - Brandon Browner. With all the money I just saved on flyers, we have the money left to shore up the secondary with a good corner. Make it happen.

1. The reason we didn't pick up Fairley's last year was weight issues. If the rumors are true....I dont see the Lions making a play at "pot roast".

2. For a very team friendly deal.....sure.

3. No, just no. There are 10 backs in the draft I'd rather have. Zero production in an NFL uniform.

4. Sure. But he seems to be spoken for!

5. He's a Saint. As in a "who dat" Saint.

WR Pay Kenny britt or DHB 500k to run streaks opposite calvin.
OL help of any kind...need depth
OLB Akeem Ayers would be a nice versatile olb in a hybrid type defense we may run
Playmaker Spiller or dare I say Harvin. Harvin is a headache....pun intended. But its obvious Stafford needs more weapons.

ps....if youre a NT named pot roast....I wouldn't worry about his weight. its part of the job to be fat lol.

Pot Roast is signing a 1 yr deal for $4 million in Washington.

Is there any updates on Blalock? I heard he was in the building. Where's Glover's girlfriend when you need her?

Good to see Washington learned its lesson about overweight DTs.

She's under my desk this week. I'll ask her what's up when she's done.

At my age, that's gonna be a while.

I don't care. I'm not asking this guy to watch my kids or date a loved one. Sign Greg Hardy. A combination of Ansah, Ngata, Walker??, Hardy would be the deadliest DL in Lions history.

Do it, Mayhew!!!

He's going to play for someone. Might as well be our team.

Greg Hardy or AP...

Lions have been extremely quiet,I think they might be after AP but he is smart enough to know he needs solid OL, so perhaps he is awaiting their signing of a OG before agreeing and wants a shot at playing vs Minny 2x per year and willing to give Lions a discount for that opportunity, or at least a contract structured for several years that is cap friendly initially but has $50m G-money.

At least AP is off The List while Hardy is still on it.

Either way,I'd be shocked if they landed one of those guys.

Get AP out of your head. Minnesota will try and rape us in a trade. It's never going to happen unless he gets released, which he isn't...

AP to Tampa.....

With the Cowgirls losing Murray, and AP being from there, it seems logical that's where he'll end up.

Not to mention ap reached out to dallas last year halfway thru the year....wana talk about violating the tampering rules lol.

Well the thread is "wish" list. If you want to create a different thread "who do the lions have a legit chance to get still" then feel free and you may criticize me there, but in this thread, I'm allowed to "wish". :D

With a 12.75 million salary, they can't expect to get much in return.

However with only a couple million left to spend on FA/Trades it's out of the question.

we really only have that much space left? lose suh and still have no cap room lmao #mayhewproblems

I have no idea what he's asking......but Cecil Shorts would be a good addition, IMO.

#1 experience in case of an injury.
Good speed
Productive even in J'ville
Cheap price tag
Likely to take a short term deal (1 or 2 years)
Just turned 27

Not saying he is the answer to everything that ails this offense.....but would give the Lions a lot of flexibility in 3 WR sets.....which they run a lot of.

Almost no chance AP gets traded. He's hitting 30 in just a few days, missed all of last season, and is owed $45MM over the next three years.

No team is taking that contract on.
