Native Americans to Ted Nugent: STFU and GTFO

Regardless that Nugent is off in the head, Colmes is a bad journalist. I know some of you are responding because he's a conservative. No other reason, michchamp for one..That's not unusual.

Yes monster. He's an ass hole .. lots of them around.

Colmes was actually the liberal... some might say "liberal..." on Hannity and Colmes.

I don't really know what he does anymore; I think he still does stuff for Fox News.

I don't think Colmes was liberal, even outside of the news. He just played a liberal on TV. he was at best centrist, more likely right-of-center on most issues. just because the real crazies view you as "liberal" because you don't endorse slavery and locking up the gays doesn't mean you're a liberal.

fans of Public Enemy will remember Alan Colmes as the antagonistic radio interviewer of Chuck D on "Incident at 66.6 FM" off the legendary album "Fear of a Black Planet."

I'm aware there are those who hold this opinion...hence "Colmes was the liberal...some would say 'liberal...'"

I didn't read the quotes very carefully. but I guess my post is my explanation of why "some would say 'liberal.'"

I know Colmes had his own radio show on Fox Radio a few years ago. I'd listen to it occasionally because he'd get the Fox Wingnuts that have been listening to Fox Radio all day calling in, so the entire show was just a giant argument. I remember he had this "free for all" segment on Fridays where calls weren't screened, he used Nugent's "Free For All" as the intro music, but got rid of it after Nugent went fucking insane. However, everything to do with Colmes just feels so "staged".

Did you even read the exchange between him and Colmes? He mentioned armed and aiming to harm us. He might have a colorful way of expressing himself..But I certain wouldn't be social with a gun pointed at me..

Yes I read it and am familiar with the M.O. of cable news douches like Colmes. Nugent is the guy who would shoot an unarmed "immigrant" and then plant a gun on the dead body to justify the kill. He's playing to the fear, xenophobia and racism of people who think we're being invaded by an army of dirty, illegal people here to steal everything from America.

it's not true.

Witness the current decision of Texas Gov Perry to send 1000 national guardsmen to stare into Mexico - the local law enforcement -- in TEXAS -- said it was a complete waste of resources and a political stunt by Perry.

That's what Nugent is - a wannabe political stunt all wrapped up in the flag and covered in deer blood.

no shit, that was Colmes?! funny I just listened to that album a few days ago and would have never known that.

now that you mention it, I can *hear* his voice as the radio host.

and who knows ...back to the OP. Perhaps these tribal leaders in Idaho are concerned the Motor City Madman will mistake some of them for being "illegals" and try to kill them with his patriotism and freedom.

"Terminator... X!"

Oh, okay, I think I'm getting it now...I guess Chuck D mixed in some part of an earlier interview with he did with Colmes in some part of Fear of a Black Planet:

Colmes found himself heard in a new and unwelcome (to him) format when rapper Chuck D of Public Enemy took an earlier interview with Colmes and sampled it in Fear of a Black Planet. He threatened to sue, but could not, because Colmes did not own his own words -- the station did. He later stated in an interview that he and Chuck D "laugh about it". (source).

So the thing on youtube must have been later, after the album had been released.

I don't pay much attention to either Public Enemy or Alan Colmes.

Oh, okay, I think I'm getting it now...

Okay, now I'm getting it even more...what I posted from youtube earlier apparently is Incident at 66.6 FM itself; from the Fear of a Black Planet album.

Doesn't sound like much of an interview though; Colmes was just taking phone calls and not asking Chuck D any questions...

If you listen to some of the clips, Colmes was apparently interviewing Chuck D at some point; in one of the sound bites, he addresses Chuck directly, and in the last one, the caller says "before he came on" referring to Chuck D coming on the show. none of Chuck's responses appear in the song.

"P.E. in full effect...

... BROTHA!

I think it's fair to say most Hip Hop samples MoTown and other, older music.

Hell, Wild Cherry never did near as well with their "Play that Funky Music White Boy" as Vanilla Ice did!

Vanilla Ice's version sucks too.

Aren't parts of the original Wild Cherry song cut into Vanilla Ice's version?

I take it back; it isn't much of a remake except for the one line.

The rest of the Chucky Dee version sucks.

I'm not a huge fan of that particular song, but aren't you the grumpy old man today.

"911 is a Joke," "Welcome to the Terrordome," "Burn, Hollywood, Burn," "War at 33 1/3" and "Can't do nuttin for ya man" are all better. Chuck D's rap on "War at 33 1/3" is the most intense ever.
