Michigan off to a good start in this game as they bat around in the first inning.

Bottom first Michigan 7 Nebraska 0.

Michigan gets out of a jam in the first inning as our young fourth pitcher had a lot of 3-1 and 3-2 counts. Great diving play by third baseman gets a force. Then a fly out then a werid play. Batter was struck out on a 3-2 count in the dirt with runner moving. Catcher did not tag runner or throw to First he flipped ball back to the mound. Pitcher then threw out runner trying to get to third . Your classic 2-1-5 putout .

Michigan Hitters still mashing run in in top of the second no outs two on 8-0.
Fudge muffins grounded into dp. Then a ground out .
8-0 bottom second.

9-0 Michigan bottom third.

9-0 bottom fourth. Michigan goes out in order for the first time.

Nebraska one out solo homer 9-3 now. 5th.

I guess it doesn’t matter much, but all things considered it’s probably better for the winner of Nebraska Michigan game two today for Minnesota to win, and force a second and fairly late ending game two in that semi final.

Gophers had a 6-0 lead heading to the bottom of the 8th. Fucknuts plate 4 and had runners on with one out. Back to back K’s .
6-4 heading to top of the 9th.

And as we just saw, a bases clearing strike to center field brings in three more from Minnesota, still 9-4 and Minnesota still batting in the 9th.

It was a tough play that bounced off the left fielders glove, I don’t know or I guess I should say I didn’t hear if it was called an error or a triple.

So for what it?s worth, the winner of Nebraska Michigan will take on probably a pretty tired opponent tomorrow for the championship. I guess both teams will be a little tired.
