When I watch college baseball, the fielding is almost like little league compared to major-league fielding.

Of course that?s an exaggeration but?maybe fielding is what keeps guys out of the bigs more than anything.

Except of course for maybe not being able to hit, or pitch, or run the bases.

It's like years ago when they never learned how to bunt. Now bunting, imo, is pointless. Guys just want to hit now they don't practice the art of defense.

Ann Arbor Pioneer grad Nwogu, already with the home run tonight, got fooled on a breaking
pitch.

Kerr, who had made the two run homer earlier in the inning, made the third out on a very hard-hit ball.

Hard to be disappointed with a five run inning , but one bases clearing double with the bases-loaded would have really broken the game wide open.

Now, Jackie Robinson stadium is beautiful, and is in a beautiful area, but it?s not anywhere near the Westwood campus.

It?s right out on the grounds of the Rose Bowl itself, 35 miles from Westwood.

That said I have the UCLA Loyola Maryland game on now on ESPNU.

Loyola Marymount is up 3 to 2 on the number one overall seed in the tourney.
