Nebraska at MSU

One thing about us defensively too is how few steals we get (only 4 per game) and as a result don't turn the other team over very much. That's a bad combination when you are also fouling, since in theory teams that steal the ball a lot are more aggressive and also prone to foul more. Teams that don't force turnovers tend to play more of a sagging or containment style, except we're still not containing.

Part of that is that our perimeter guys overall aren't great defenders, other than Nairn. Harris has potential there in his ability to move his feet, but makes too many mental errors.

Too bad Branden Dawson isn't walking through the door again. These struggles show how valuable he was

I don't fault the last 5 seconds, I blame the first 59:56 of the game. Getting up 5 and then letting them go on a 13-0 run is unacceptable. Nice job of denzel throwing the ball away on a behind the back pass after we grab the lead, which turns into possible points off the board and a run out the other way.

agreed - I don't think anyone would say we lost that game because of poor shot selection at the end. Given the situation, I don't think it was that bad but even if it was, it would be so far down the list of reasons why we lost, it's not worth mentioning. Nebraska actually went on TWO 13-0 runs - one in each half. It was a pathetic effort all night long.

The last shot comment was more triggered by Denzel's overall out of control play the last 10 mins.
